HuffPost story: "According to longtime political observers Thomas Mann and Norman Ornstein, campaign coverage in 2012 was a particularly calamitous failure, almost entirely missing the single biggest story of the race: Namely, the radical right-wing, off-the-rails lurch of the Republican Party, both in terms of its agenda and its relationship to the truth. * Mann and Ornstein are two longtime centrist Washington fixtures who earlier this year dramatically rejected the strictures of false equivalency that bind so much of the capital's media elite and publicly concluded that GOP leaders have become "ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition." * "The mainstream press really has such a difficult time trying to cope with asymmetry between the two parties' agendas and connections to facts and truth," said Mann, who has spent nearly three decades as a congressional scholar at the centrist Brookings Institution." -- Hmmm...it's ironic that an opinion about the truthfulness of the Republican Party's campaign strategy is being commented on by a writer who calls Mann and Ornstein "centrists". If you believe them to be "centrist", I do believe the truth would seem to be a lie.

Online story: "KABUL, Afghanistan — An American doctor kidnapped by the Taliban was rescued Sunday by Afghan and coalition forces in eastern Afghanistan, officials said. At least six people were killed and two Taliban leaders were arrested during the rescue. * One of the rescuers, an American man, was killed during the operation, the White House said in a brief statement on Sunday night. * Dr. Dilip Joseph, was abducted along with two Afghan men on Wednesday while driving to a rural medical clinic in the Sorobi district of eastern Afghanistan * the kidnapped men were taken to a mountainous area about 50 miles from the border with Pakistan, according to a statement from the American nonprofit organization that employed the men, Morning Star Development. After days of negotiations, the two Afghan employees were released Saturday. But Dr. Joseph remained in the hands of his Taliban captors." -- I admire doctors, any medical professional who does pro bono work in third world countries, but do we really need to allow such to happen in countries the US is actually engaged in war or armed conflict? Just the presence of American civilians exposing themselves to the enemy adds additional pressure and additional danger for our military men & women.

Online story: "WASHINGTON -- When President Barack Obama arrives in Michigan on Monday to sell his vision for addressing the so-called fiscal cliff, he will be stepping into a state that is currently witnessing a massive battle between its governor and labor community. And according to union officials, Obama will weigh in on the controversy and speak out against "right-to-work" laws." -- Hmmm, now that the election is over, potUS Obluster has wasted no time in confirming the first term suspicions that as long as he has access to printing his own money, he has no interest in creating jobs.

---

Online headline/story: "Atheists, Humanists Suffer Persecution World Wide, Report * The study, from the International Humanist and Ethical Union (IHEU), showed that "unbelievers" in Islamic countries face the most severe - sometimes brutal - treatment at the hands of the state and adherents of the official religion." -- Hey, ACLU, have I got a job for you.. Pack your bags and office and get a move on.

---

WRBL3 story: "Cam Newton threw for 287 yards and two touchdowns and scored on a 72-yard run as the Carolina Panthers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 30-20 on Sunday." -- Hmmm, guess he's trying to impress Malzahn so he will get recruited to finish his senior year at Auburn.

---

Online story: "Federal cuts looming on the other side of the fiscal cliff forced Mickey Boyers, president of Virginia-based UHP Projects, a small business that cleans and coats surfaces for one of the largest U.S. builders of government aircraft carriers, to lay off nearly 100 workers -- including his own son." -- The son probably had an "Obama 2012" bumpersticker as well.

L-E story: "The Chattahoochee River-Walk will be closed from the North Highlands Dam 2,300 feet south to South Gordon Boulevard as construction crews gear up to go down in the riverbed and build a “weir” or smaller dam just below North Highlands. * That smaller dam will keep enough water pooled below North Highlands’ downstream face for its turbines to function efficiently after the City Mills Dam below it is breached, draining the backwater now extending to North Highlands. " -- Now the truth becomes clear... the passioned plea about removing all the dams to restore the Chattahoochee to its natural state were BS from the git-go, not just a concept overwhelmed by the realization the Chattahoochee could be turned into a commercial waterpark.

Liberal's L-E "soundoff" -- "The average income of Georgians making above $250,000 is $635,630. Their Bush tax cut is $28,550. Those making less than $250,000 average $51,370, and their tax cut is $1,140. Do the math. " -- There oughta be a law! No liberal newspaper should be able to print a liberal comment involving math unless the source is cited and verifiable. Figures don't lie, but liars, especially liberal ones, figure a LOT, as the truth is not in them.

If all non-military government salaries, local, state, and federal (including Congress, the Court system, and the White House) were reduced, the taxpayers would probably feel a big enough boost in their wallets to turn the economy around.

L-E story: "WASHINGTON — A holiday concert attended Sun-day by President Barack Obama and his family included some non-traditional entertainment this year: a performance by South Korean rapper and Internet sensation PSY. * PSY — wearing an all-red outfit including a sparkling, sequined top— was backed by dancers wearing reindeer antlers as he performed his popular “Gangnam Style” dance, which mimics riding a horse. * In brief remarks, Obama said the celebration was “a chance to get in the Christmas spirit, spread some joy and sing along with artists who have much better voices than we do.” -- "a chance to get in the Christmas spirit"? Wouldn't attending some nativity service be more appropriate? Ooops, forgot, potUS Obluster and friends don't want true Christmas oriented activities to be seen.

This hasn't made it to the pages of the L-E, but I think even the L-E would actually have trouble printing what Robert F. Kennedy says. I ran it December 9, 2012, and will periodically to remind BCers worldwide how the DUMBERat Party thrives/survives on division:

Online headline: "RFK Jr: Fox News Has Divided Country In A Way Not Seen Since Civil War" -- Fox News? This coming from a DUMBERat who's party has given us affirmative action, political correctness, racist taxes on indoor tanning, the Congressional Black Caucus, historic black colleges with charity status, still allows black segregated beauty pageants and athletic events, and deems racism as a one way street. Fox News is the only TV network that discusses the such dividing factors, and from both sides.

Did you know Hallmark will televise the "Hollywood Christmas Parade" tonight. Isn't this about as oyxmoronic as an event can be? This may top Gay "Pride" parades.
