Online story: "Christopher Franklin Weaver, 33, had been released from the Lane County Jail for only 55 minutes before being arrested for allegedly robbing a bank in Eugene, Oregon, ABC News reports. * He was released when the county was forced to free 32 inmates due to budget restraints." -- Another failure of liberalism.... jails no longer are run in manners that make criminals regretful for their actions. Prison conditions make it too attractive for some versus making it on their own in the outside world.

Susan Rice's nomination to Secretary of State has hit another snag.... her investments in a Canadian Oil company and the implications for dealing with the Keystone XL pipeline. It was also noted she had t divest her interests in stock on large government contracts in 2008 when nominated. Hmmm, there might be a solution potUS Obluster hasn't capitalized on as yet... appoint Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Rupert Murdoch et al to government jobs, and when they have to divest themselves of their billions in holdings, potUS Obluster could tax their capital gains! And collateral effect would be that maybe the GEICO Gecko ads would stop.

Online headline: "John Boehner: Congress 'Never Going To Give Up' Debt Ceiling Powers" -- Now, if he would use this power to stop the debt from rising!

There are 35 Bowl games this season. Does anyone even know which teams are ranked numbers 69 & 70? Does anyone really care?

UGA is going to the Capital One Bowl. Whatta shame..... for the BCS committee! Bet the nation would like to see a rematch between UGA & Bama rather than Bama & Notre Dame.

From L-E story: "But not big fans of Georgia were Baylor's Art Briles and Washington's Steve Sarkisian. They each had the Bulldogs at No. 11." -- Here are two coaches who obviously do not know what good football is, and neither will ever get the call to coach in the SEC.

Online headline: "Couple Convicted of Stealing Hybrid Car Trade Secrets from GM for China" -- Oooops, my bad. Thought the DOJ had finally nailed the Clintons for their dealings with China.

---
Online headline: "Climate Change Study Indicates Amount Of Heat-Trapping Pollution Rose By 3 Percent Worldwide Last Year" -- This sounds really petty when you think about how NASA says there are century old ice pockets on Mercury which has a surface temp of 800+ degrees Fahrenheit.

Online story: "Timothy Geithner insisted that in order for the country to avoid the 'fiscal cliff' Republicans need to accept an idea they currently oppose." -- BS! We don't have a tax problem, we have a spending problem!

After watching Tiger Woods wear his hat backwards yesterday during the World Championships, any commentator who criticized Kyle Carter for wearing his slightly skewed needs to call him up and apologize.

Amish Mafia? There's actually a new "reality" TV show starting about the Amish Mafia. Amish Mafia.. what can we expect... Harvest Day Massacre? A buggy drive by shooting with a black powder musket?

How can any court interpret the Founding Fathers' intent that the Constitution follow majority interests while protecting the same of the minority as meaning minority interests should trump the majorities desires?

It's a shame that the executive secretary now retiring from the Muscogee County School System after 34 years has been a resident of Harris County where her taxes are lower and do not help Muscogee County schools.

I guess I'm lucky in a sense that I don't have to go out today and buy a new TV. I did not watch the KC-Carolina football game yesterday nor saw Bob Costas self-destruct on gun control. His words/citing claiming that if Belcher didn't have a gun at home, Belcher and his fiance would be alive are pure BS.. True, maybe for Belcher himself would be alive as I've never seen someone commit suicide by self strangulation, but Belcher's girlfriend could have been killed many other ways. As for gun control in my house, if I'd been watching real time, I might have retrieved my gun and shot the TV image of Costas. No jury of my peers would convict me for that.
