Online story: "Twenty-two high schools in Philadelphia will have something new when the kids return to class — condom dispensers. They are being installed over the winter break inside the nurse’s office for each school. The plan is to promote safer sex among teenagers. The chosen schools have the highest rates of sexually transmitted disease in the city. The condoms will be free to any student whose parent didn’t opt them out of the program" --"parents didn't opt them out"? Why do parents put up with this? What if the schools offered live sex exhibits in sex-ed with only an "opt-out" exclusion? Do schools think the kids would take and present such a form to their parents? Close to 100% of underclassmen are minors, and should be protected from such options from non-parental adults, especially their teachers!

Online story: "NEW YORK -- Stocks are dropping again on Wall Street as investors lose hope that Washington will meet a self-imposed deadline for reaching a budget deal by year-end." -- What's evident to Wall Street is that pot-US Obluster is not interested in extending the existing tax rates for anyone. Even if the Senate passes the House bill, Obluster would veto it. Why is this such a problem for mainstream media to understand?

---

The ACLU prides itself for defending the rights of the minorities affected by issues protecting the individuals rights. Therefore, why isn't the ACLU jumping into the fray against the government's attempt to single out the top few percent of taxpayers for increased taxes?

---

I don't understand why Republican pundits are still confused about why/how pot-US Obluster got re-elected. Two things made the difference: Woman are not going to vote for Republicans until Republicans stop acting like they want to control them, and the extended voting periods that allow activist groups to round up voters and take them to the polls van-fulls at a time.

---

pot-US Obluster doesn't want a deal. His demand to tax the wealthy is just a ploy to paint Republicans as guardians of the elite at the expense of the masses. The total taxes of punishing the wealthy would operate the government about 8 days so what pot-US Obluster really wants is to tap into the wallets of mainstream Americans.

A government issued photo ID is required to get on a plane, to register for school, to open a bank account, to test drive a car or rent one, to be admitted into a hospital, to buy cigarettes or alcohol, and yet the one Constitutional service guaranteed to American citizens, the right, the privilege, to vote in too many states is not covered by the incessant plea of government to be able to identify yourself.

A port strike on Eastern and Gulf ports has been delayed 30 days to work out details. One union leader brought up the fact that the recent West Coast port strike cost that area over $1 billion dollars a day..and was gleeful about it. The union leaders have no interests other than their own financial interests.

500.... That's the figure for murders in Chicago so far this year. That's the first time in 4 years that 500 have occurred, but only 12 short of the Chicago record. So much for strict gun laws.

Liberal's L-E "soundoff": "Either it hasn’t dawned on Republicans that what’s good for the country is good for the party, or their plan is to sacrifice the country for the two percent in corporate America. " -- Ron White's absolutely right when it comes to liberals; stupidity... you just CAN'T fix it! This one has no idea of what is about to happen to him in 2013.
---
Another liberal's L-E "soundoff": "At seven percent, unemployment is the lowest in four years and home sales are the highest in three years. New car sales are up and gas prices are falling. Fox News forgot to report these things. " -- As Reagan would oft say to Carter during the debates, "Well, there you go again,". If this liberal would watch Fox for even a hour per day, he'd know none of the 'facts' he's citing have any validity. Ron White makes a living on these people.
---
L-E headline: "Thousands still without power in Arkansas" -- And where was pot-US Obluster... Hawaii? Guess he has no need for photo-ops since the election is over.
---
L-E story: " Columbus police arrested an 18-year-old woman Thursday for allegedly threatening to kill a 23-year-old man with scissors to his neck." -- Hmmm, were those scissors automatic or semi-automatic?
---
L-E story: "During a preliminary hearing Friday, Columbus Recorder’s Court Judge Michael Cielinski ordered 19-year-old Marco A. Dunlap held in the Muscogee County Jail on bonds totaling $27,500 on charges of stealing a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and theft by receiving stolen property." -- What a condemnation of the poverty environment, maybe not created by government programs, but surely enabled, conditioned, by such. This guy is 19! Already a convicted felon BEFORE this arrest, why was he even back on the streets?
---
L-E story: "Nebraska football fans don’t seem to be real excited about the matchup with Georgia in the Capital One Bowl as the school sold few tickets." -- Hmmm, perhaps it's 'the economy", but more than likely it's just the overall lackluster bowl pairings. Besides, what fans get excited to travel to an also-ran bowl when their team is the underdog against a SEC team?
---
Hmmm, the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association North-South high school football game is being played today at Columbus' A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium. Of note is that there are NO Columbus high school players participating. Surely some were invited, but opted out, but I can only assume that as there's no qualification of this inn the L-E story. Regardless, how embarrassing.
