Pop test: Do you recognize these two people:

Wrong, first is a Tim Burton character, and the second is Wreck it Ralph! Who says movies and video games don't affect people?

---

Online headline: "Fiscal Cliff: Obama Calls On Congress To Pass Scaled-Down Package" -- pot-US Obluster wants a 'scaled-down package'? Obluster is the one person who has the capability to 'scale down', and the culpability for not 'scaling down' spending for the past 4 years.

---

Online story: "(NYC Mayor) Bloomberg has long called for stricter gun control laws. He says Friday's press conference by the nation's largest gun lobby group was "a shameful evasion of the crisis facing our country." -- Before calling anything someone else says/does 'shameful', Mayor Bloomberg should look into the mirror at what his priorities have been, like banning 16+ ounce sodas, triple cheeseburgers, salt, trans-fats, smoking, mom&pop liquor stores, and Mayoral term limits in Nannyville. What? Bloomberg hasn't banned Fox News..give him time.

---

There seems to be a lot of interest in obtaining the rights to the Hostess iconic products. With this much interest, it wasn't a bad product or reputation that bankrupted the company, just out of control union demands that crippled the company's efficiency.

---

Online headline: "FBI Gun Background Check Database Missing Millions Of Records On Mentally Ill" -- Anybody checked pot-US Obluster's birth certificate/college records lockbox?

---

Repeat headline/story: "FBI Gun Background Check Database Missing Millions Of Records On Mentally Ill * Despite improvements in recent years, state governments are failing to submit records to the Federal Bureau of Investigations of people with mental illnesses who have been institutionalized or otherwise deemed by authorities to be dangerous to themselves or others, The New York Times reported Friday. The Times cited a 2011 study by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a coalition of more than 700 city officials that is co-chaired by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg (I), an outspoken proponent of stricter gun control laws." -- Well, well, well... the libs have outsmarted (is that actually possible?) themselves. Privacy laws on health matters that libs have fought for keep such info unavailable unless the individual authorizes it has come back to bite'em on their butts, and since the mentally ill are already mentally ill, they cannot be deemed of sufficient metal health to authorize such info. Joseph Heller, author of "Catch 22" was right, government is a complete SNAFU in the hands of liberals.

---

Online story: "WASHINGTON — Congress sent President Barack Obama a $633 billion defense bill for next year that would tighten penalties on Iran to thwart its nuclear ambitions and bulk up security at diplomatic missions worldwide after the deadly Sept. 11 raid in Libya. * The Senate voted 81-14 on Friday for the massive policy measure that covers the cost of ships, aircraft, weapons and military personnel. The vote came less than 24 hours after the House passed the bill, 315-107." -- Hmmm, it's funny...NOT!...that no immediate roll call vote tally is available to see the 14 DSenators and 107 House members who voted against the bill, but I would take odds on 900+ % being DUMBERats.

---

Online headline from the department of "Huh?": "Margaret Thatcher In Hospital After Operation" -- I guess we can only hope she in the hospital BEFORE and DURING the operation as well.

---

WTVM9 headline: "CSO to present stirring war time music" -- That ought to have the staff at the Schwob School of Music and father Roy Bourgeois up in arms...

---

Looks like Susan Rice was just a 'red herring'. Now we have a real 'RED herring' nominated as Secretary of State.
---

Mark Zuckerberg isn't getting caught up in the new higher income tax battle, he's just going to take a $1.00 annual salary. Smoke on that pot-US Obluster.

---

It's bad enough that a Bronx health clinic is using a video of "Santa" giving away condoms and clean needles, but I have a question: clean needles may correct passing/catching diseases, but will clean needles will not stop an overdose?

---

Until Republicans convince women they aren't try to control/invade their private lives/issues, women are not going to care whether DUMBERats lie or Republicans tell the truth. The past election proved my theory.
---

Online headline: "Police Arrest Men With Machetes In French 'Doomsday' Village" -- Hmmm, wonder if the media is wondering they were automatic, semi-automatic or manual versions?

Hammar is back now.. guess the Mexican government realized that Hammar was a Marine, and fellow Marines just might remake that trip to 'the halls of Montezuma' and show Mexico the Marine version of "It's HAMMAR-time".
---
Boehner has had a tough time, but it's been his own fault. He's chosen to play a public game of "chicken" with the media's favorite "rooster", rather than just stand firm on good legislative presentations.
---
I hate to even mention Geraldo Rivera's name, but he's grandstanding again. On Fox & Friends, he salubriously held up his NRA membership card and proclaimed he would come back on and "shred" it if the NRA president didn't call for banning semi-automatic rifles. Guess Geraldo is trying to get onto the Hollywood A-list.

That death involving a MCSD employee being out at 6:35 AM on a Saturday and running down several women (including one death) was bad enough, but the situation showed that past Council action to spend money on style versus substance has come back to haunt it. The SPLOST sidewalk program funding was inadequate for all the projects that each Councilor wanted in his/her district so Council stretched the money out by building sidewalks along high traffic roads but didn't build curbs (which would at least alert drivers that were drifting out of the lanes) because it would have cost more money and meant less sidewalks. That and the cost of having to put storm sewer openings along the curbd to take care of excess rain water. The rub is that there are many other places similar sidewalks were installed that have worse possibilities of death for pedestrians.

That fight between 13 and 15 year old girls at Richards Jr High... I thought Richards was a IB magnet school. At 15, she is one grade behind her age group so why /how does a 15 year old get admitted there?
---
L-E headline: "NKorea says it has detained a US citizen" -- Hmmm, any one seen Bill Clinton or Algore recently?
---
Today's edition is somewhat truncated because the e-edition of the L-E is not up and running. For a final item. enjoy this picture of our Sophia enjoying the marvels of Christmas (Norman Rockwell, eat your heart out!)

Merry Christmas, y'all!
