It's the day after Christmas... are you getting ready to pack up everything about it in a box and put it back in the attic until next year, or are you going to take what you experienced and go out into the world and share it until next year when you get a new battery charge?

Online headline: "Killer Used Same Weapon as Lanza" -- This was about the psycho who killed the foremen answering a call trap call in Webster, NY.. Again, media saturation giving one psycho national exposure has brought another out of the woodwork. Perhaps the media should issue a statement declaring how many 1000s of Bushmaster rifles have never been used to kill people indiscriminately.

My nominee for thr 'politically correct product/lie of the year' - One of my daughters git a wallet for Christmas that a hang tag proudly declares that it is made of "Shiraleah Veggan Leather" and it is in compliance with California Proposition 65 consumer protection law. A closer exam of the tag reveals that "veggan leather" (that's 'meatless' for those of you who were educated in the California school system) is actually a polyurethane material... PLASTIC.... which I guess is a pretty accurate description for California liberals.

L-E story: "ATLANTA — Three Atlanta-area counties have filed a lawsuit claiming that British bank HSBC cost them hundreds of millions of dollars in extra expenses and damage to their tax bases by aggressively signing minorities to housing loans that were likely to fail. * Fulton, DeKalb and Cobb counties say in their lawsuit, which was filed in October, that the housing foreclosure crisis was the “foreseeable and inevitable result” of big banks, such as HSBC and its American subsidiaries, aggressively pushing irresponsible loans or loans that were destined to fail. The counties say that crisis has caused them tremendous damage." -- Hmm, unusual tactic, but the suit might be aimed at suing the 1979 & 1992Congress, Xpot-US Clinton and XPOTUS Carter for passing/signing legislation that made banks/mortgage firms comply with giving
unqualified minority buyers carte blanche on housing loans.
---
How insensitive .... The L-E ran its normal Tuesday "Foreclosure Section" on Christmas day. Would it have hurt to either skip it or run it on another day this week?
---
L-E "soundoff" of note: "We live in the day of the smart phone and stupid people. " -- How true, but there's another mix that can be used to shorten this to one word... Obamaphone.
---
The SEC has nine teams playing in Bowl games this season... what's even more astounding is that all nine, including Vanderbilt, are favored by the bookies.

L-E story: "Around 9:45 p.m., police were called to the Macy's store in reference to a theft. A Macy's employee said he saw Scottie Dunlap take three pairs of blue jeans (total value $174) and conceal them in a bag from another store, according to the police report. Mall security apprehended Dunlap, 17, whose residence wasn't listed. He was charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting." -- "misdemeanor theft by taking"? If a store loses $174.00 worth of merchandise to shop lifting, that store will have to sell an additional $5,800.00 JUST to make up for the $174.00 that was stolen (at a 3% profit basis). That means the store is basically not going to make any profit of about $6,000.00 worth of merchandise that leaves the store. Ain't nothing 'misdemeanor' about that!
