Happy birthday, George. I remember when George Washington got his own
holiday and one day sales event.

Online headline: "NBC Falls To Fifth Place In TV Ratings" -- Let's see...
there's ABC, CBS... hmmmm....5th in a 3-way race?
---
From the 'it's not one world' department: "Sherry Rehman, the Pakistani
Ambassador to the United States, is under investigation by Pakistani police for
allegedly blasphemous remarks she made more than two years ago on a Pakistani
talk show, Agence France-Press reports. If convicted, Rehman could be sentenced
to death." -- And she has to wonder whether potUS 00-Bama would stop a
spontaneous Muslim "protest" on the Embassy.... and how well potUS 00-Bama has
armed them.
---
WRBL3 story: "The U.S. Supreme Court will not halt the execution of Georgia
death row inmate Andrew Allen Cook. * Cook was set to be executed Thursday at 7
p.m. by lethal injection, but the execution was delayed while the high court
weighed in on Cook's last-minute appeal" -- This was the worst appeal ever
filed... thank God the US Supreme Court squashed it hard and fast! I could have
an ounce of sympathy if the appeal were made on some evidence issue, but the
lawyers appealed the execution based on whether the drug being used had a proper
prescription. Of course the drug had a proper prescription... our legislature
prescribed it and our governor signed it. GA should sue those lawyers and bar
them from practice in GA!
---
Pistorius... I hate to even mention him, but he's also already shot wholes
in his own story... he'd had more credibility if he'd 'bolted' for the front
door at the sound of the first shot, or at least pulled up after the 'second
one'.
---
Do you ever wonder if anyone associated with PETA ever thought about the
animals they protest other people eating or wearing their skin/fur are mostly
carnivores?
---
Anyone seen the US Army ad featuring/naming Myles Caggins III? Kin to the
MCSD's Myles Caggins?
---
Fisker Automotive... One of the recipients of potUS 00-Bama's check kiting
investment "stim-YOU-LIE" program is on the market at a bargain basement price,
and China is trying to scoop it up. 00-Bama "invested" more than $529,000,000.00
of money he borrowed from the Chinese on the backs of our grandchildren's
future.
---
As recently as 3 days after the November elections, potUS 00-Bama was
claiming he did not want to send, much less see, our "green technology" in
China.
---
Strange...we have the largest wind farm in the world in Texas, but the wind
turbines were made in China.
---
potUS 00-Bama is bypassing the White House press corp and even major
networks to spread his sequester propaganda. Why? Simple... what fringe radio or
local TV reporter is going to ask him a follow up question concerning his
agenda?
---
We finally have found a subject potUS 00-Bama will grant an interview to
liberal journalists.... golf, specifically golfing with Tiger. Otherwise, "mum's
the word".
---
I'd have thought potUS 00-Bama would have wanted to play golf with Phil
Mickelson before Tiger Woods. After all, Phil is left-handed like 00-Bama. Maybe
00-Bama had another preference.
---
Geraldo Rivera is claiming he is s "modern Republican".... no wonder there
is such confusion about what Republicans hope to accomplish.
---
News story of the day...there was "a rolling shootout on the Las Vegas
strip". Hmmm, what's newsworthy of a street fight in Las Vegas or Chicago?
---
Online story passed on by a fellow BCer: "Last week, President Obama opened
the door to a temporary fix of sequestration. When asked to elaborate on what
that fix would look like, Spokesman Jay Carney again advocated paying down
(potUS 00-Bama's on bill) sequester with more defense cuts. * Chairman of the
Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Martin Dempsey:“We built a strategy last
year that we said we could execute and absorb $487 billion. I can't sit here
today and guarantee you that if you take another $175 billion that that strategy
remains solvent....* The question I would ask this committee: What do you want
your military to do? If you want it to be doing what it's doing today, then we
can't give you another dollar. If you want us to do something less than that,
we're all there with you and we'll figure it out.” -- Support our military any
way you can!

It's come to my attention that most of the Council (save Judy Thomas) is
going to allow all new furniture to be used in the new Service Center versus
utilizing what it can from the Government Center offices that are moving out.
There's no need, no excuse for wasting money on new office furniture when the
other is just as viable and useful. The excuse Council has used as that the next
'user' of the old space can use it. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. New
users will need to configure the space to their own specific needs, and will
probably need specific furniture to do that. Council needs to hear from you
about scavenging what works in the old space as ity will work in the new space
as well.

Low-info lib's L-E "soundoff": "The 9
Tenets of the Republican Party are bigotry, hypocrisy, elitism, fascism, greed,
corruption, incompetence, arrogance and insanity. Read it and weep. " -- Hmmm, I
can see this as the ultimate set-up line for Pee-Wee Herman... I know you are,
but what am I?
---
L-E headline: "Drew Peterson gets 38 years" -- Hmmm, wish it read
"Drew Peterson gets 38 hollow-point between
eyes"
---
Don't you love it when liberals eat their own... Chicago Tribune
commentator John Kass ripped Jesse Jackson, Jr (directly, and Sr by implication)
a 'new one. There's something about the name "John Kass" that intrigues me...
you know, most liberal "Johns" adopt John F. kennedy's nickname... "Jack" in
tribute... Hmm, maybe that's what's giggly... Jack... Jack Kass... say that
quickly and it makes a lot of sense.
---
L-E
headline/story: "Gun pointed at students at Baker Middle School; no
injuries reported * No injuries were reported. The suspect was not named or
arrested. No further details were available." -- Hmmm, so much for the 'zero
tolerance' policy.
---
L-E headline: "Flu shot doing poor job of protecting elderly *
Vaccine only 9% effective for those 65 and
older against this year’s strain" -- DOH! Name me anything the government
does that does a GOOD job protecting the
elderly?
---
Richard Hyatt's column in today's Columbus
Ledger-Enquirer reminded me of a recent event in the frozen food section of a
Florida Walmart. Some unknown terrorist 'dropped a daisy' that even a dozen
Fabreze plugins wouldn't have concealed. Made me wonder why someone hasn't made
a fortune marketing Fabreze-filtered underwear.
---
When I heard David Axelrod had signed a
performance contract with NBC, my first reaction was that he would make a great
addition to one of those 'zombie' shows.
