Online headline": "Danica Patrick makes history, wins pole" -- What a
sexist headline... next I guess she'll be expected to dance across the
line.
---
Repeat: "Danica Patrick makes history, wins pole" -- Looks like the
DUMBERats "war on women" has been won by NASCAR.
---
On another train of thought, maybe the good ol' boys of NASCAR just enjoy
the view of Danica from behind..... q;-)

The third student this year from a single Chicago high school was shot to
death this past weekend. The high school's principal reacted,"I'm sick of it,
"How many more kids have to die before we do something?" Well, it's going to
take Chicagoans going to the poll and ousting DUMBERats from office. As long as
DUMBERats control Chicago, DUMBERats are interested in changing anything.

Online story: "CHICAGO — A well-known Illinois state senator dropped her
bid Sunday for the U.S. House seat vacated by Jesse Jackson Jr., narrowing the
field and consolidating key support behind another Democrat in a race where gun
control has emerged as a central issue. * State Sen. Toi Hutchinson, targeted in
recent days by critical anti-gun campaign ads funded by New York Mayor Michael
Bloomberg's political action committee, said she was leaving the race and
swinging her support to former state Rep. Robin Kelly. The major shake-up came
with just nine days to go before the Feb. 26 primary. * Hutchinson's move
reflected the sharp divisions over the gun control issue, but also appeared to
be in line with efforts to consolidate support for one of the many black
candidates in the black-majority district. Community leaders had expressed
concerns that the black vote could be split, thus boosting the chances of former
U.S. Rep. Debbie Halvorson, a white candidate whom Jackson defeated in last
year's primary battle." -- The race is not about gun control; it's about
racism... Chicago already has confiscatory gun laws that have stripped the guns
out of the hands of law abiding citizens, and only criminals and cops, and what
cop wants to be on patrol in South Chicago? Another question is what, no, why in
the hell is NYC Mayor Bloomberg involved in Chicago politics?

So pot-US 00-Obama bade Tiger Woods to golf with him. Guess 00-Obama took
Tiger's drives since it wasn't fair for Tiger to keep and use his own.
---
Maybe it's time for Fox to trim some expenses. May I suggest Fox start by
cutting Beckel, and send Juan Williams back to NPR for a player to be named
later.
---
Will someone stick a sock in Senator Graham's mouth when conversation about
Hagel begins? Let the DUMBERats nominate Hagel on the floor, then all
Republicans vote "present", and let the DUMBERats vote him up or down.

What's up with Habitat for Humanity in Columbus? Today there is a problem
attributed to the construction of one of it homes, and our church had to cancel
an annual spring break college event where students came to Columbus as our
guests and helped erect a number of Habitat homes, but Habitat had none ready to
be raised.

Nike says it is sticking with Oscar Pistorius for now. Hey, not much of
stretch for Nike. Nike supports the most violent of the NFL and NBA so its an
easy choice to support the only known sprinter to be charged with murder.

L-E story: " CHICAGO — Drew Peterson’s longtime lead attorney
could be on the witness stand Tuesday defending his decision-making and legal
skills as Petersen’s attorneys argue that their client deserves a new trial. "
-- Hmmm, do the previous 'client privilege' clauses/contracts remain intact? Can
a lawyer witness be held to the same standards of telling the truth in court
that a non-lawyer witness is?
---
From the L-E's "Looking Back - Fifty
years ago today, February 18, 1963" feature: "Muscogee County Sen. Harry Jackson’s proposed new
Blue Law began its trip through the House of Representatives today under the
cloud of a threatened gubernatorial
veto. . Carl
Sanders said the Senate version of the Govbill would open the door for Georgians to
participate in more things on the Sabbath than under the present law. *
The governor said it is his intention
to “keep the Sabbath holy and not allow ordinary commercial activities unless
absolutely necessary." -- Flash forward to 2013 and go ask Carl Sanders if
buying beer in a grocery store on Sundays is absolutely
necessary...

How fair are sales taxes; especially add on
specialty taxes such as LOSTs, SPLOSTs, TSPLOSTs, and hotel/motel taxes? Buying
non-grocery somethings in Columbus can now cost consumers between 8% and 11% on
top of the actual costs. In other words, consumers are giving more in taxes to
governments that the actual businesses make on the same items. Wonder how many
more jobs would be created if retailers could add the money collected in taxes
to their bottom line?

L-E headline: "Chipper back in camp as guest instructor" -- Hmmm,
I'm sure Braves fans aren't near as sophisticated as the San Francisco ones, but
do they really need instructions?
