Online headline: "Hot Air Balloon In Egypt Crash Kills 19 Tourists" -- Ooops, thought the Muslim Brotherhood had developed a "SCUD drone".

---

Online story: "Over the weekend, The New York Times reported that the newly formed Organizing For Action, a so-called social welfare group, would set up four meetings a year with Obama for individuals who gave more than $500,000. The funding setup was designed to give the new group the capital it needs to begin its advocacy efforts, which consist primarily of helping advance the administration's agenda." -- This is what potUS 00-Bama 'CONverted' his campaign website into. He also 'designated it as a 501 (c) 4 organization' making certain donations tax deductible so his 'friends/earseekers' would get tax benefits for funding his agenda. Please note this story is by/from the New York Times, not Fox News.

---

From same story above: ""That's one of the reasons I ran for president," Obama said in May 2010, "because I believe so strongly that the voices of ordinary Americans were being drowned out by the clamor of a privileged few in Washington." -- Hmmm, oh, so instead of there being "a privileged few in Washington", potUS 00-Bama wants to be THE "privileged one" in Washington?

---

Online headline: "Former Surgeon General, C. Everett Koop, Dies At 96" -- I do hope he is buried in his "general's uniform". That does not need to pop up in history again.

---

It was more than strange for the First Lady to present the award, via TV, for "Best Picture". I fully expect the White House to execute an Executive Order renaming future Motion Picture Academy's awards 'The Obamas".

---

Iran's "Far News' published a picture of FLOTUS Obama's presentation. True to Irani policy for women's modesty, it 'photo shopped" sleeves and a jewel neckline to her dress. Too bad modesty cannot be 'photo shopped' into her spending habits.

Online story: "Fox31 was the first to report that Franklin Sain, a 42-year-old Colorado Springs man, was arrested for making threats against Rep. Rhonda Fields (D-Aurora), the sponsor of two of the four controversial gun measures that passed the state House last week. * Sain is accused of harassing Rep. Fields in emails and in a voicemail and is also charged with attempting to influence a public official, The Denver Post reports. * “I am grateful for the prompt work of the Colorado State Patrol in bringing this suspect to justice," Fields said in a statement." -- Sounds like the Colorado legislature is trying to overrule the 1st Amendment at the same time it's trying to overrule the 2nd Amendment. And we don't need to 'guess' what the legislature is 'smoking' anymore.

Online story: "Washington — General Motors Co. wants to pay its chief executive $11.1 million in total compensation this year — an increase of more than 20 percent over 2012 - and offer raises to most of its highest paid executives, according to a document turned over to Congress." -- Hmmm, I think it's about time that Government Motors "REAL" board of directors, the American taxpayers (not to be confused tax-siphoners) should get to vote as shareholders on such matters .

---

Online story: "A group of international scientists have found evidence that an ancient, lost continent may be buried beneath the Indian Ocean floor." -- Hmmm, then there is hope that the San Andreas Fault may eventually get that 11.0 earthquake that will send California and it's liberal Electoral College votes deep into the Pacific for scientist to rediscover a few thousand years from now.

Proof positive that basketball stardom is not in black DNA:

Marvin Gaye and Jesse Jackson

This is Jesse Jackson playing 1-on-1 with Marvin Gaye (year not disclosed) and completely supports that basketball stars get there by hard work vs genetics.

---

According to reports in the L-E, we're having rash of people assaulted by scissors, but the L-E has yet to call for a ban on scissors or even background check to purchase any.

---

Most people are struggling to make budgets from one year to the next. Most people wish their take home pay was the same as last year...BUT not the government. If potUS 00-Bama and the DUMBERat Senate would simply write a budget limiting expenditures to last years, then "sequester" wouldn't even be on the table.

---

Thank goodness for small favors department - Disgraced former SC Governor Mark Sanford is taking an "apology tour" ahead of seeking the US Representative spot opened up with Tim Scott being selected to replace Sen Jim DeMint. The "small favor"? Sanford is not a DUMBERat or his indiscretions would guarantee libs would select him.

---

Online headline/story: "Savannah's iconic bridge may lose Talmadge name * Savannah Mayor Edna Jackson concurred, saying she strongly supports the renaming of the bridge, even if it is named the Savannah Bridge or the Savannah River Bridge. * She said her primary motive for renaming the bridge is to strip away the Talmadge name and legacy. * “I’ve always called it ‘the new bridge’,” she said. “I’ve never referred to it as the Talmadge Bridge because that’s an insult to the African-American community. I came up through the civil rights era, and I know how we were referred to by Talmadge.” -- Hearing the mayor of Savannah get off on Talmadge's racism just opens up discussion as to why white people are tired of the older civil rights advocates preaching their racism as well. Truth be told, there weren't many white people who liked Talmadge, either, but scared DUMBERats kept re-electing him

There is a workable solution for parking increases expected when the Whitewater season opens. Make the company that bought the contract to rig and haul boaters up the river to the northern starting point operate out of parking garage across from the River Center. Fees would cover a parking spot and its proximity to the exit point would be a plus for the users and the operator.

---

Did notice that there were a lot of spectators lined up on Bay Avenue Sunday looking at the Chattahoochee. Spectators, mind you, as there wasn't much use for the RiverWalk or Whitewater course with the river so high.

---

L-E headline: "Students advance to state science fair" -- It was nice of the L-E to print the names of these 26 students, but of note, is that none of the schools they attended were mentioned. Guess it would v=have been embarrassing for the MCSD board to have done so.

---

Low-info libs L-E "soundoff": "If you are a Republican, I guess the Second Amendment must pay better than the 17th. " -- Hmmm, liberals do not understand that the 17th Amendment overrode the process/policy our Founding Fathers enacted to elect each State's two Senators. Messing with the US Constitution does not improve it.

---

L-E headline: "Gov. Deal says he’ll suspend 6 of 9 DeKalb school board members" -- Hey, Gov, how about checking our 4 or 5 of the ones we have!

---

L-E headline: "Lawmakers consider bills to repeal core standards " -- Ooops, my bad. Thought someone was implying there were 'core standards" already in existence in the AL legislature.

---

L-E story: "LOS ANGELES — The TV series “Duck Dynasty” is coming between Morrissey and Jimmy Kimmel. * The singer and animal rights activist says he canceled his appearance Tuesday on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” because “Duck Dynasty” cast members will be on the talk show. * Morrissey says he can’t perform on a show with what he called people who “amount to animal serial killers.” -- So he says, but is the real reason that the duck calls have a better sound than Morrissey does?
