Online headline: "Obama Mulls Gay Marriage Move" -- Oooops, my bad.Thought HuffPost had scooped CNN, and TMZ about potUS 00-Bama coming out of the closet.

---

Online story: "The Obama administration is quietly considering urging the Supreme Court to overturn California's ban on gay marriage, a step that would mark a political victory for advocates of same-sex unions and a deepening commitment by President Barack Obama to rights for gay couples. * Obama raised expectations among opponents of the Proposition 8 ban when he declared in last month's inaugural address that gays and lesbians must be "treated like anyone else under the law." -- "quietly considering urging the Supreme Court"? What's "quiet' about leaking your strategy to the mainstrem media? "treated like everyone else under the law"? I think it's a case more like wanting better treatment than everyone else.

---

Online headline: "Universal Background Checks Backed By Republican" -- DOH! Why is mainstream media shocked at this? My personal 'feelingg' are that very few people of any party or gender or race object to background checks... well, the criminal element probably does.

---

Online story: "WASHINGTON -- John Kerry used his first public address as secretary of state to focus on the domestic side of foreign policy, delivering a full-throated defense of foreign aid spending as a boon to American interests." -- As a DUMBERat sec of state, why would he oppose foreign aid? Have you ever seen a DUMBERat show up anywhere without a wad of cash to buy his acceptance?

---

Online story: "Minutes from the Fed's January meeting seemed to catch investors by surprise when they were released at 2 p.m. EST. Several Fed policymakers worried that the bank's program of buying $85 billion of bonds each month could eventually unsettle financial markets or cause the bank to take losses. Even so, most of the Fed officials thought the economy faced fewer risks than in December" -- The Fed buys $85 BILLION in bonds monthly....and potUS 00-Bama thinks the fed government spending $85 BILLION annually will create Armageddon?

---

Online story: "The New York Times Company announced Wednesday that it is selling the Boston Globe." -- Why not... the NY Times has already sold out America's future many times over.

---

WRBL3 story: "Proposed renovations to the main Columbus library are getting scrutiny. * The proposed budget for the Chattahoochee Valley libraries includes 280-thousand dollars for renovations. That would mean dipping into the reserve fund deeper than usual. * The library board's finance committee is asking officials to take a second look to trim some fat. * (The Fund Development and Marketing Coordinator) said administrators are working to trim about 400-thousand dollars off the budget, but said most of the funds go towards operating costs and can’t be changed." -- Only in government-speak can't operating costs be changed... Private businesses do it all the time... in fact cutting operating costs on occasion is necessary at times to keep the organization healthy. I remember a number of years ago there was a human interest story about a Post Office janitor who was getting 6 months of pay for him to retire early. Trouble was that he'd already put in for retirement to take effect 6 weeks from then, so he left 6 weeks earlier with a bonus check of $15,000.00. My question, and this was 10-15 years ago, was/is "why is a janitor with zero management responsibilities earning $30K pushing a broom? Can't cut operating costs? BAH!

---

Online story: "Florida Atlantic University’s decision to accept a nearly $6 million sponsorship from a private prison system operator ( GEO out of Boca Raton, FL) for FAU’s football stadium naming rights has, not surprisingly, been met with resistance and now, a petition. * FAU play-by-play announcer Ken LaVicka is floating the nickname, ‘Owlcatraz,’ in the petition regarding the Owls’ facility." -- Talk about a REAL reality show! Just think of this as a recruitment aid for the football program... coaches can promise any thug they recruit that if they aren't good enough/tough enough to get drafted by the NFL, GEO will have a spot for them with 3 meals a day and a roof over their heads waiting for them.

---

potUS 00-Bama lined up policemen behind him as he chastised Republicans about sequester causing more crime in our cities. Excuse me, but we pay our police from the city coffers, not federal grants.

---

potUS 00-Bama says allowing the sequester to happen will slow down security at airports. Well, well, well.... potUS 00-Bama admits it is government's fault for it taking so much time getting through an airport. Perhaps we soul write in for permanent 'sequestering" of the TSA.

---

Chicago media are kicking themselves for not 'connecting the dots' that Jesse Jackson JR. was having a meltdown. Doh. How come the media wasn't kicking itself for missing all the 'dots' left by Clinton, Menedez, Frank, Rangel, Berry, Blagojevich, Ted Kennedy et al?

---

Housing starts down by 7+% in January. Hmmm, guess builders are stumped by 00-Bamacare costs and maybe a surge in labor costs if illegal aliens get amnesty?

---

You know, if illegal aliens are allowed amnesty for exchange of their work info and back taxes, you know very well potUS 00-Bama is going to go after their employers for back FICA payments as well.

---

So government space experts are advocating a "Death Star" to shoot meteors heading for Earth out of the sky. Hmmm, what will be the solution for laser shots that ricochet off a meteor and hit Earth?

---

potUS 00-Obama has converted his presidential campaign and fundraising site to a 501 (c) 4 operation and is misusing the funds and e-mail list to promote his gun confiscation program. Now WWW.barackobama.com is WWW.organizingforaction.com.

---

So the US Post Office wants to start a line of wet weather clothing. Mail order, I presume, which means few customers will believe the PO will deliver the goods.

---

From the "only in AmeriKa" department: "An Aurora, Colo. elementary school’s new after-school tutoring program began Wednesday with this interesting caveat: white students not wanted. Information sent home to parents implied that the program was only accepting “children of color,” and white students were excluded from enrollment." -- Oh, sorta like "Head Start" elsewhere?

---

Online story: Obama's approval rating up to 62 percent in California" -- Huh? "up to 62%"? That's what 5 of the popular vote he got in California in November... he ain't up diddly-squat!

---

From a fellow BCer:

--This is why mainstream media denies her being black, and would use this her against her in any political run.

---

L-E headline/story: "TEEN CHARGED IN COUPLE’S DEATH * Ricks and Berry had known each other for quite some time, Taylor said. Two weeks ago, the two men were in a physical altercation, which Berry later reported. Officials also believe Berry may have given information to investigators about the Macon County shooting, which may have led Ricks to retaliate. * “There is some indication that there is some problems between the two of them — Mr. Ricks and Mr. Berry — in the past, as of a couple weeks ago,” Taylor said." -- Huh? "There is some indication that there is some problems between the two of them"? Hmm, this is an assessment I would expect to hear from deputy Fife rather than Sheriff Taylor....

---

L-E headline/story: "HEATH JACKSON HOMICIDE * Guards: Strozier hit inmate, exposed self to guard in juvenile custody * Defense still pushes for reduced security during murder trial despite officers’ testimony * As Strozier’s attorneys continued to argue Columbus’ tight courtroom security is causing their client prejudicial pretrial publicity by making him appear dangerous" -- Oh, the new charges alone won't alert the jury that a thief murdering his victim doesn't indicate he's a dangerous person? That lawyer could improve the felon's 'appearance as such' with simply shaving his gangsta hairdo.

---

L-E story: "The Phenix City River Rats — formerly Central High students — will hold their annual gathering at the Central Activity Center at 7 p.m. Saturday." -- "River Rats"? That was considered a 'loveable slur' 50 years ago. Has political correctness finally lifted its veil?

---

Low-info lib's L-E "soundoff": "McDonald’s CEO makes more in one hour than his employee makes in two and a half years. CEOs and the GOP see no need to raise the minimum wage." -- Why am I not shocked that a DUMBERat would actually believe the figure McDonald's CEO would make, and that he has only 1 employee doing all the work.... Unfortunately, there are more like him/her, way too many more.

---

Another low-info lib's L-E "soundoff": "As slaves, we were given a house to live in and food to eat. With $7.25 an hour, we don’t even get that." -- And we wonder why the DUMBERats have such an easy time enslaving voters with entitlement programs...

---

Since Jesse Jackson, Jr and his wife were willing to plea bargain to felonies, will we ever know the real depth of their crimes?

---

L-E story: "TUSTIN, Calif. — A sheriff’s official says investigators have found no signs of illegal drug use by a California gunman who shot three people to death in an unexplained rampage. * Orange County sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino said Wednesday no drugs were found in the home 20-year-old Ali Syed shared with his parents and it doesn’t appear he was using any illegal substances. * Authorities say Syed killed a 20-year-old woman in the home early Tuesday and then killed two more people before committing suicide." -- A psycho kills 3 people plus himself, and the sheriff's department is relieved he wasn't a druggie? Did it matter at all?

---

L-E headline: "U.S. SUPREME COURT * Court upholds deportations of immigrants with criminal records" -- Doesn't that make every illegal immigrant 'eligible' for deportation?

---

Senator Josh McKoon may not be the most popular person in the State Legislator, but he's sure making a great case for his continued public support. He's got my vote.

---

Now we have another death sentence putr on hold by our Court of Appeals based on the lawyer's claim that the state is planning to execute his client with phenobarbital that hasn't been prescribed. Huh? Either get a prescription for it now, or just shoot the felonious murderer, but carry out justice PRONTO!

---

L-E headline: "NFL COMBINE * Answers could have big impact on NFL draft stock * Owners, coaches looking for character and on-the-field performance" -- Hmmm, could be the shortest draft in NFL history and a beginning to the end of the NFL.
