CNBC poll headline/story: "Even Millionaires Think The Rich Should Pay Higher Taxes * CNBC's first-ever Millionaire Survey reveals that 51 percent of American millionaires believe inequality is a "major problem" for the U.S., and nearly two-thirds support higher taxes on the wealthy and a higher minimum wage as ways to narrow the wealth gap." -- Good grief.. BCers.. this is your challenge.. find one person outside of a trust based, Massachusetts Democratic Party family who was polled.
---
From above poll: "When asked about the No. 1 factor in obtaining their wealth, the millionaires ranked hard work first (23 percent), followed by smart investing (21 percent) and savings (18 percent). Education ranked fourth, at 10 percent, followed by frugality and then inheritance. Only 1 percent cited luck as the top reason for their wealth." -- Hard work, investing, saving.. throw in responsibility and you have the formula for success. Now, write this on the wall in every classroom in every school, and the number of students who will learn it, follow it and benefit from it will not change one iota in the future as long as there are liberals/Democrats who appeal to voters on the basis they aren't capable, so let the government help you.
---
From above story: "A millionaire's view on inequality and taxes, however, seems to depend more on their politics than their wealth. Eighty-six percent of Democratic millionaires said inequality is a problem, compared with only 20 percent of Republicans. Two-thirds of Republicans vs. a quarter of Democrats say anyone can become wealthy in America if they work hard." -- You know, this really confirms my above comment ..that Democrats truly manipulate and exploit their voter base to get their vote. 86% of Democrats said "inequality is a problem". Sadder still is that they preach that "inequality" can be defeated by making everyone (but the "more equal than others") the same.
---
More "stuff" from above: "Democratic millionaires are far more supportive of taxing the rich and raising the minimum wage. Among Democratic millionaires, 78 percent support higher taxes on the wealthy, and 77 percent back a higher minimum wage." -- You know, there's not one rule, not one law that prohibits Democratic millionaires from donating more "taxes" to the government, or from paying their workers $15.00, $25.00, or more per hour as a minimum wage for their employees. The trouble is that most Democratic millionaires got this way off the backs of industrious workers at low wages, or... or.. by promising voters that they will give'em somebody else's wealth if they elect them to office!
---
More: "Politics even plays a role in how millionaires view wealth creation. Among Republican millionaires, 63 percent say hard work is the No. 1 reason the wealthy are wealthy. Democrats were most likely (45 percent) to cite a person's family or place of birth as the top reason for their wealth" -- What this actually means confirms all my claims -- Republicans have work ethics and respect for hard work, and Democrats politicians are more likely persons who have inherited wealth and haven't known the joy of good self-esteem from working hard for their success.
---
Wanna know why the CNBC poll got the results it did? Here's the Topic line asked: "What should be done to lessen the inequality of wealth in the United States?" Told you this came right out of the liberals/Democrat 'feel tank" of Massachusetts!
---
My question, especially to the Democratic Party voter base is: If you want become successful, why do you vote for Democrats who tell you that you aren't capable of doing it by yourself?
---
Alibaba... remember this name.. it has nothing to do with magic carpets or 40 thieves.. it's the name of a Chinese company that will have undoubtedly the largest IPO in history. It was founded less than 20 years ago by a Chinese English teacher who experienced the Internet, American style, on a trip to Seattle. He returned home with an idea, worked hard and has built it into a company doing $6.5 BILLION in sales. He ain't no Democrat! He ain't no socialist! Bet CNBC didn't poll him, either.

I have an idea that may solve multiple issues: Legalize marijuana. you heard me, BUT require drug testing for any one who wants, or asks for, or is currently receiving any kind of government assistance.. no exceptions, and if a anyone commits a crime, drug test them, and if marijuana is present lock'em up, and don't let them out until they can pay for the expense of their incarceration.. If potheads think marijuana is a right, let'em work hard.. if they are able, to earn their right.

HuffPost story: "RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- The Democratic congressional primary race between former "American Idol" runner-up Clay Aiken and textile entrepreneur Keith Crisco remained very close and without a clear winner. * Aiken and Crisco each had about 40 percent of the vote, trailed by licensed family counselor Toni Morris of Fayetteville in Tuesday's primary race in the 2nd Congressional District.
Aiken's first political campaign drew an unusual amount of celebrity buzz thanks to his singing career and a second-place finish on "Celebrity Apprentice." Crisco spent four years as the state's top business recruiter under former Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue." -- Good grief! With a choice between a runner-up game show person, and a proven business success.. this just demonstrates the Democratic Party voters' indoctrination.. Style over substance..

Online story: "OKLAHOMA CITY, May 5 (REUTERS) - Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin said on Monday her state had "lawfully carried out a sentence of death" in a botched execution that has been widely criticized as cruel and inhumane. * "Justice was served," Fallin, a Republican, wrote in a monthly column. "The people of Oklahoma do not have blood on their hands." -- Amen! Cruel and inhumane are descriptions of the ghastly crime the (_*_) committed and was executed for committing. Personally, all such executions should have as excruciating results as possible under our Constitution. Anything short of "drawn & quartered" works for me in situations such as this ogre was involved in.
---
You know.. a modern day "draw & quarter" execution would be more humane that the medieval version of attaching horses to each extremity and spooking them. That could drag out and be overly gruesome. Today, such could be achieved promptly with hydraulics.

Online headline: "White House locks down after car follows motorcade inside" -- Hmmm, unlike the killing of Miriam Carey, and no one was shot.. sorta proves that the White House approved of killing a black woman but not a white male. Hmmm, is this a "make up" for a previous "bad call", or a confirmation of the Democratic "War on Women"?
---
Online story: "DETROIT — There's a dispute involving the Detroit Public Schools district about a staffing company's work to keep schools clean. * The Detroit Free Press reports that Sodexo says it intends to stop performing work for the district because it's owed more than $18 million. The district, meanwhile, says the company isn't meeting the terms of its contract and isn't keeping schools clean." -- The Detoit Public Schools owe $18, 000,000.00 to a janitorial company, an outside resource at that.. (hey, boys and giurls..can we say "UNION"?... and the school year is not even over?

L-E story: "District Attorney Julia Slater told Columbus Council’s Budget Review Committee that she will not be able to carry out the constitutionally mandated tasks of her office if she is forced to cut her budget to the extent laid out in Mayor Teresa Tomlinson’s proposed Fiscal 2015 city budget. * Speaking to the committee Tuesday afternoon, Slater said her proposed $1.89 million budget is 97 percent personnel, leaving her little room to cut costs without affecting personnel." -- Hmmmm...Amazing...Mayor Obamalinson put together a budget package that's $4,000,000.00 more than revenues, and at the same time is shorting the DA's and Sheriff's Departments which means the budget has too many political pork packages woven in. No business can operate successfully when 97% of the budget is appropriated for salaries/benefits. 60% would be an ideal private sector goal in the service industry, and 66% would be an A- . This is typical government inefficiency, and a cause of the backlog in our penal system. Two aspirin/Tylenols at the start of a headache are more effective than they are when a headache is in full effect.
---
In the L-E's "Looking Back | 50 years ago today" feature: "President Johnson journeyed on a six-state tour of the poverty plagued Appalachian area today, talking man-to-man with jobless workers and pledging a new "America revolution" to help their plight." -- And, how'd that Johnson pep talk workout for the Appalachian folks?
---
Talk about a future fiasco, toll roads...how do entitlement voters ever elect and re-elect Democrats who keep chipping away with sales taxes and fees for things they cannot avoid or do without? Sales taxes and road tolls hit in the pocket of lower income workers much harder than on the middle class or wealthy. What's even more inequitable about gas taxes and toll roads is that you pay the same rates whether you're driving a clunker or a luxury car.
---
A fellow BCer brought this to my attention.. In Minnesota, the Democrats just changed the name of a fish. "Asian Carp" was determined by the Democrats to be "offensive and hurtful" to Asians. Now the Democrats call it the "invasive Carp". Tell me.. how is that less "offensive and hurtful" to Asians who know the Democrats are referring to the same fish?
---
Amazing... Congress is investigating the White House's ineptness in the Benghazi assault, and Judas 00-Barnum convenes a summit in Climate Change. Could it be simply a diversion to distract mainstream media from the heat building up under his collar?
---
You know, "Climate Change" is right up at the top of the Democratic Party playbook. Like the effect of minimum wage, welfare, OObamaCRAP, and Common Core there's no scientific measurement that can be projected forward, and there's no measure of the good by throwing good money at it will accomplish. It's funny that the Democrats will rally behind such causes simply on blind faith of politicians, yet condemn Christians for their blind faith in Jesus. Go figure..we Christians have faith in our future, while no Democrat has a clue of what their faith in government has in store.
---
What do Congressional Democrats hope to accomplish by boycotting or disrupting an attempt to further investigate the Benghazi with the emergence of a very incriminating e-mail? Are there any districts that would support a politician that's undermining the truth? If so, that's pathetic.
---
Monica... a name, well, one of THE names of the the 90s Hillary would like to bury along with Monica's blue dress. Hmmm, I imagine she already buried that cigar of Bill's.
---
Monica.. the name that introduce oral sex into elementary school Sex Ed classrooms. What a legacy! Shame on Bill Clinton.. Hillary, too, for not 'cutting him off'.. literally and figuratively!
---
Lois Lerner... she had no business pleading the "fifth" after declaring she was innocent of anything/everything involving the treatment of conservative organizations filing for various 501 (c) status. Her declaration of innocence suggests there was nothing she could self I incriminate herself on. If she still refuses to answer Congressional inquiries, then she deserves to go to jail.
---

Of course the White House wants all Democrats to vote against holding Lois Lerner in contempt. The whole deal with Lerner depends on the White House keeping her out of jail.
---
You know, if I were a Congressional Democrat, and running for reelection, I believe I would seek out inclusion on the investigative committees on Benghazi and Lois Lerner. What true American citizen doesn't want the responsible people to be held responsible ?
---
With the White House doing the Climate Change Cha-Cha-Cha, you'd think Algore would be out on the dance floor....Well, you'd think he'd be out leading his own parade.
---
WRBL3 story: "A Columbus family is searching for answers from police and neighbors after a Vietnam veteran in hospice got a parking ticket for not moving his car parked in front of his own home * The $20 ticket was written for "overtime parking." Georgia law states any car left on a public street for more than five consecutive days, and that appears to an officer that the driver will not be coming back to move it, is considered abandoned." -- Good grief.. wouldn't a simple license check revealed the vehicle was parked in front of the owner's home.. not abandoned. Guess Mayor Obamalinson has ordered more revenue producing tickets be issued.
---
When you think about what happened in the above story, you have consider that the ticket issuing policeman had to be out there every day, possibly several times a day. to verify that the car had not moved during the 5 day period. Wonder how many crimes were committed in other neighborhoods he/she could have been spot patrolling?
---
WTVM9 story: "DETROIT (AP) - General Motors is recalling nearly 60,000 Saturn Aura midsize cars because the automatic transmission shift levers can show the wrong gear, and says it has known about the problem for more than two years." -- This really upsets me. We just got our daughter's Saturn back from a recall repair after 3 weeks, and now this. I recently expounded on what else GM was hiding about parts it obviously didn't test properly for durability under real time use, so this doubly troubling. GM needs to liquidate and buy back as many vehicles it made as the money will buy.
---
Did you read Paul (_*_)lsen's letter inte L-E yesterday.. I imagine Mayor Obamalinson has called in a damage control team. Her having (_*_)lsen's endorsement can't be sitting well with her base.
---
Not my original thought but funnily appropriate. Donald Sterling can sell the Crippers and buy Rutgers and both he liberals will be happy occupying the same space.
---
L-E headline: "MOLESTER SEEKS NEW TRIAL TODAY * Attorney claims defense did not question credibility of teen molested by ex-teacher" -- Good grief! Why are we taxpayers paying for another appeal/trial because her attorneys didn't question the credibility of a victim. The courts ruled on her credility as a predator!
---
You know there's a bigger story behind the Benghazi investigation when the Democrats and White House spinmeisters step up their arguments that there is no story.
---
L-E story: " BEIJING — China and Iran announced this week that they’re deepening their military ties, with Tehran going so far as to claim that China now sees Iran as a “strategic partner.” -- You know, without Clinton, China would not have our long range missile/rocket technology. Also, without Judas 00-Barnum, no countries would be rattling sabers at the US.
---
In a L-E commentary today on the upcoming gubernatorial primaries, this statement was made: "On the Democratic side, Senator Jason Carter has staked much of his campaign’s early rhetoric on the topic of education. Carter is sticking to the premise that Georgia’s education problem is rooted in funding," -- Once again, the Democrats have it all wrong.. education problems are not rooted in the funding.. the educational problems we have are in the waste of good money on bad programs that Democrats insist are "the answers".
---
L-E story: "Second Lt. James Lamoreaux, a Fort Benning soldier, doesn’t recall much about the day he rescued two boys from the Chattahoochee River, but he admits his lifeguard skills kicked in as soon as he realized the boys were in trouble." -- Modesty.. what a great attribute of real heroes. Now, what I want to know is whether the boys or their parents were ticketed for not having PFDs (personal flotation devices, as required by law!)?
---
Did you read Richard Hyatt's column today... about Tollie Strode's uncle, Woody Strode? Wow..I remember Woody Strode's roles in "Spartacus" and "The man who shot Liberty Valance". I couldn't have put a name with him before today, but who can forget now?
---
I have idea.. let's scrap the automatic jail time penalties for minor drug crimes if no weapons or injuries are involved. Instead, when someone is arrested for such, assess them the expenses they have caused the community, including any accommodations/meals/inconveniences he/she has caused, and they can get out when they fully pay their bill.
---
L-E story: " Police are searching for a man they believe was involved in an aggravated assault on 18th Avenue, according to a Columbus police report. * The assault, which the victim reported involved the use of a firearm, occurred between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Monday, according to the report. Police are looking for 28-year-old Cortez Porter, who is described as a 5-foot-11 black man weighing about 165 pounds. Anyone with information should contact Investigative Services at 706-653-3400" -- I guess now we know why CHS was locked-down ...
