Online story: "White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough said President Barack Obama is "madder than hell" about possible deadly healthcare delays at the Department of Veterans Affairs and is determined to investigate and fix any flaws in the system. * "We're going to get to the bottom of those things, fix them and ensure that they don't happen again," McDonough said on CBS's "Face the Nation" in an interview aired on Sunday." -- Excuse me, why does Judas 00-Barnum have to have someone else than himself or Jay Carney speak for him? Why, because he needs someone American citizens first reaction won't be.. "Pinnochio says", but we already know how being Judas 00-Barnum being "madder than hell" about OObamaCRAP, "fast&furious", the IRS, or Benghazi hasn't changed anything.

From the "how out of touch can politicians be" department - Online story: "The 9/11 Memorial Museum is set to open this week. It sits on ground zero and promises to present"intimate stories of loss, compassion, reckoning, and recovery." But some people are angry - asking how a gift shop plays into that whole idea. * The shop sells a number of items, including mugs, key chains, t-shirts, hats, hoodies, bookmarks and more. " -- Our family visited "Ground Zero" in the summer following this outrage. Never have I seen such crowds amass in absolute silence.. even the ordinary sounds of New York street life seemed have been shut off with a "mute button". At no time did I have the thought of wanting a key chain or t-shirt to remind me of what I was seeing first hand...I will not... cannot forget what I witnessed.. I can't imagine anyone taking a pilgrimage to there today needing one either. Contact your representatives and get the trinkets out of there.. SHUT IT DOWN!

---
You know... a souvenir shop at "Ground Zero" is not "capitalism"... it's, in a word, "CRAPITALISM!"

---
From the "it keeps on coming "department - Online story: "GM has recalled 11.2 million vehicles in 24 recalls in the first half of 2014. This week, GM issued another five recalls involving 2.7 million vehicles. * The U.S. government is fining General Motors $35 million for delays in recalling small cars with faulty ignition switches." -- You know.. when I parsed the fine yesterday, I divided the $35,000,000.00 fine by the 2.6 Million Saturns and Cobalts, and the fine amounted to $13.46 per unit. Dividing the fine by 13.9 Million recall units make the fine about $2.52 each. GM is putting out crap and without any remorse.. another case of CRAPITALISM that needs to be shut down.
---
You know... with union workers at GM plants making (and this figure is a few years old) $78.00 an hour, and GM making billions in profit, we ought to be getting vehicles that are superior in nature, not something that falls apart when you leave the dealers' lots.

Online headline: "Mick Jagger gained the title 'great grandfather' over the weekend when his granddaughter, Assisi Jackson, gave birth to a baby girl." -- Dang.. I just felt father time hit me up side my head..we old!
---
HuffPost headline: "Jerry Brown Says Hillary Clinton's In A Risky Spot" -- Imagine that... Moonbeam saying someone else is a target of scrutiny.
---
HuffPost story: "New York Times publisher Arthur Sulzberger, Jr., who set off a firestorm when he fired Jill Abramson as the newspaper's executive editor this week, issued a statement on Saturday claiming that -- contrary to media reports -- the decision had nothing to do with Abramson's compensation package or gender. * The statement says Abramson actually made more than Bill Keller, who led the Times until she replaced him in 2011, and that it was Abramson's leadership style that led to her ouster." -- Hmmm, I gues we can ditch the "it's about the money" angle, and replace it with , "it's about the "Honey"...heh heh heh.
---
Online story: "The San Antonio Express News reported Saturday that Castro has been contacted about a cabinet post in President Barack Obama's administration, and Castro has signaled willingness to accept it. A separate source told KSAT-TV that the cabinet spot under consideration is currently filled." -- Hmmm. looks like Judas 00-Barnum is playing a game of "eenie-meenie-miney-mo" with his Cabinet.. wonder which one is being thrown under the bus..I suggest the Secretary of War/Defense (VA situation) or Secretary of Education (which has been 00-Barnum's biggest failure).
---
Online headline: "Bolivian soccer club signs president of country as player on team" -- Well, one thing for certain.. The MLB, the NFL, nor the PGA will sign Judas 00-Barnum to such a deal.. they've seen him in action.
---
You know.. it's not racism but culturism when you can take a kid out of the 'hood' but can't thake the 'hood' out of the kid. It's not a black thing, a Latino thing, and Asian thing, or a white thing.. it's a country's survival we're talking about. The profiteers of race baiting need to be shouted down so progress can start again.
---
Online headline: "Disney's theme park admission is increasing" -- Hmm, I'm I know this... now I know I'll be saving even more money by not patronizing Disney in the future.

L-E story: "Detroit Metropolitan Airport is getting more than $14.8 million to help with runway improvements.
* The grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation was announced last week by U.S. Sens. Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin of Michigan. * Stabenow and Levin said in a statement that improvements at the airport in Romulus will boost business activity and tourism" -- Good grief! That's our good money Congress is pouring into a cesspool. Touriusm? Who wants to go to Detroit.. half the citizens have already fled Detroit...why do they think others want to visit?
---
L-E story: "Plans are in the works for an agricultural museum in Michigan that would include a collection of 6,000 farm toys as well as displays on the history of agriculture and agriculture technology. * "Melissa Growden, marketing coordinator and secretary of the museum's board, says the heart of the museum will farm the toys. The museum board looked at a number of different possible sites, but decided on Blissfield because of its rich agricultural heritage." -- Good grief.. again! Who wants to fly to Detroit, much less fly there and have to drive 55 miles to Blissfield to see "farm toys"! We can see all we want to see at "Toys R Us" or Ebay!

In a nutshell , minimum wage jobs are basically minimum effort jobs, and justly compensated now.
---
Online story: "The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Office of Inspector General, located in Washington, DC, pursuant to the authority of FAR Part 13, has a requirement for the commercial acquisition of submachine guns, .40 Cal. S&W, ambidextrous safety, semi-automatic or 2 shot bursts trigger group, Tritium night sights for front and rear, rails for attachment of flashlight (front under fore grip) and scope (top rear), stock-collapsible or folding, magazine – 30 rd. capacity, sling, light weight, and oversized trigger guard for gloved operation." -- Hmmm... getting past the issue of why the USDA wants machine guns that farmers can't have, we have surmise that the USDA anticipated more protests over federally grabbed grazing lands// that or the USDA is trying to help Homeland Security dry up the available ammo available for citizens to be able to have a "well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State".

LIV's L-E "soundoff": "“Love they neighbor” — unless it’s a Democrat, or an American worker, or the poor, or the unemployed, or the underpaid (especially women), or a gay, or a senior, or a veteran …" -- There's "partial" truth in this... but unfortunately, it's typical Democratic rhetoric Demovcrats try to pass off as "the truth". Fortunately, we see the evidence of this every time Judas 00-Barnum or Jay Carney.. even Mayor Obamalinson speak, so we're nut quite so gullible to this "soundoff" writer's plaintive plea. Now, if we could remove the "Democrat" out of this writers's analysis, every other aspect "it" claims would disappear.
---
Another LIV's L-E "soundoff": "As the earth melts because of climate change, 93% of scientists agree that its cause is man-made. Republicans are in denial; big oil is why." -- I'm not as concerned about another "fact" being spewed erroneously by a Democrat, but how can the L-E, in "good conscience" publish undocumented claims, when the L-E should be a truth seeker with it's guaranteed rights to do so given by our 1st Amendment. The truth should be precious to the L-E.. unfortunately, is isn't.
---
L-E headline: "Board expected to vote on new district-wide math program" -- I truly hope this "new math" is simply based on 2 + 2 = 4, and not like some of the other math curriculums it has allowed in the past. Hmmm, maybe we make this mandatory for the School Board members to take as well.
---
Local stumping: While I think John Wells will not return to the MCSD board, the race has so many good replacements running there's going to probably be a run off. make sure you get out and vote for"Anybody but Wells". I prefer John Thomas, but if there is a run off, let's make sure Wells is not one of the top two vote getters. Get out and vote Thomas, Morales or Steed.

I'm amazed at how "Keep Columbus Beautiful" and Trees Columbus" can sleep at night when they don't keep up with what's going on. There's a new cellphone tower being built on River Road that so far has included clear cutting a quarter acre of trees, and the horrific scarring of the hillside to get in there to do so. What's even sadder, they been notified, and haven't spoken up.
---
L-E's "Today in History" feature highlights that "One year ago, President Barack Obama told graduates of historically black Morehouse College in Atlanta to seize the power of their example as black men graduating from college and use it to improve lives." -- To bad Judas 00-Barnum didn't "highlight" that these graduates should strive to improve all lives, and that it's a matter of character, not color, that matters.
---
Also from the L-E's "Today in History" feature: "In 1864, American author Nathaniel Hawthorne, 59, died in Plymouth, New Hampshire." -- One of my ancestors was married to Julian Hawthorne, Nathaniel's son.
---
I saw a billboard on Veterans Parkway that asked the question: "Is your child being bullied?" I thought for a second... hmmm only if you are a "helicopter parent" would you know this, and possibly it's because you are a "helicopter parent" that your child is getting bullied.
---
After the Rutgers demonstration of racism, and you can only call it that, over Condoleezza Rice's invitation to speak at Commencement, I have to wonder if any "traditional" black college's have asked her to speak at theirs? If so, I'm glad, if not... why?
---
L-E headline: "Alabama girl’s death helps spark push for car cameras" -- You know.. over reaction to an isolated event will probably cause more problems than it will solve. It's bad enough with the computer screens in dashboards today as there are probably "apps" in the working to adapt those screen into monitors for a cellphone rebroadcast of Internet movies, but adding a video camera that could linked to such a screen offers a plethora of future video distractions a driver has to deal with.
