HuffPost headline/story: "Donald Sterling To Anderson Cooper: 'I Made A Terrible Mistake. I'm Here To Apologize' * LeBron James said Sunday after the Miami Heat practiced for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Brooklyn Nets that NBA players believe nobody in the Sterling family should be able to own the Clippers if he's gone. * "As players, we want what's right and we don't feel like no one in his family should be able to own the team," James said." -- Hmmm, now who's the racist and bigot? Imagine, stereotyping a whole group of people based on the misspeak of one...

Online headline: "The Washington Monument Is Finally Reopening" -- Hmmm, maybe Judas 00-Barnum and Jay Carney will be there to cut the ribbon and be the first to climb the stairs to the top. With any luck, the presence of Washington's legendary honesty will overcome the pair. Either that of the whole obelisk might collapse.
---
Hmmm, if the above works, maybe Judas 00-Barnum and Jay Carney can take tours of the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials as learn about integrity and patriotism as well.
---
Online story: "Michael Sam shared a kiss with his boyfriend and later opened up about nearly going undrafted. * 'I should have been in the first three rounds' -- Excuse me, but this has become a circus.. maybe the 69th pick...
---
HuffPost headline: "N.Korea racially insults Obama" -- Well, sorta fair, at least expected, since Judas 00-Barnum does this to himself in public all too often.

I still cannot get by the federal judge who says Ohio must recognize a same sex marriage performed in another state. By this judge's decision, though federal law prohibits it, Colorado passed a law legalizing marijuana use and possession.. does Ohio have to accept that if a people have receipts showing they personally bought it in Colorado?

Online story: "During an interview with Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Thursday's MSNBC Daily Rundown, NBC political director Chuck Todd challenged Reid's suggestion that Republicans were solely to blame for legislation not getting through Congress: "You don't believe Democrats play any role in this? It feels like a tit-for-tat game....you don't belief there's any tit-for-tat going on here?" * Reid launched into a rant against supposedly unfair media coverage: "One of the problems that the press has in modern-day journalism is everything you do is a tit for tat. You won't call things the way they actually exist. What has happened here is the Republicans have stopped everything from happening....So, you can give me the tit for tat all you want, but the fact is we want to legislate. We want to legislate, we want to take votes." -- Hmmm, please note this was not a Fox News interview, but one in a liberal "safe house". It does demonstrate the concern of mainstream media that perhaps MSM should not accept Democratic assertions/rantings as "gospel" in the future. Of course, Reids mantra shook Chuck Todd out of his "Kool-Aid free" moment, and Todd dropped the ball on his follow up questions.

You know, if I were running for Congress this year against a Democrat, I would simply ask voters to decide on whether they want a person who represents their interests and needs, or a representative who let's the president decide what's best?
---
Good grief...while surfing to find the TPC at Sawgrass, I crossed CBS..CBS was covering Professional Bull Riding. Instead of a cowboy hat, some joker was riding a bull while wearing a bicycle helmet with a metal face mask. What next, will the bulls start wearing blow-up sumo wrestling suits?
---
Ever heard of "Emily's List"? It's a PAC dedicated to electing women, Democratic women, pro-choice only women to National Offices: “…EMILY’s List isn’t just about funding elections to get women elected. Our focus is on putting the right pro-choice Democratic women into office who will balance the face of the government, and make decisions that really improve societies across the country…”- Stephanie Schriock, President". -- Doesn't this sound about as discriminatory and misdirected as Hitler's drive for a 'perfect race'?
One guess as to a local politician who supports this concept.

Gas...is the pricing structure a ripoff or what. $3.599 for 87 octane, but $3.899 for 89 octane and $4.179 for 91 octane. How much more can it really cost add to 2 or 4 points to 87 octane?

Where is Trees Columbus when we need them? On River Road, just South of Mobley Road, there's a construction project going up on the west side of the road. Numerous trees are being chopped down so a cell phone tower can be built there. You know, where are the nature folks that seem to be scurrying around whenever there are trees being trimmed to make billboards more visible?

Online story: "HONOLULU (AP) -- The chief executive of Hawaii's largest health insurance company is calling on Hawaii to shut down its beleaguered health insurance exchange, which was set up as part of President Barack Obama's signature health care law. * Michael Gold, president and CEO of Hawaii Medical Services Association, says the state shouldn't keep spending money on the Hawaii Health Connector, a system that he says is financially unsustainable and does not work." -- Even Judas 00-Barnum supporters are abandoning him.. sorts like DemocRATS leaving a sinking ship...

LIV's L-E "soundoff": " The pre-Reagan top income tax rate was 70 percent. Let’s reinstate that standard for the top 10 percent with absolutely zero loopholes or deductions. So what if some capitalists must downsize their yachts?" -- Every time you think there's a limit to liberals stupidity, one of them raises the bar. Go ahead, raise the tax rate back to 70% on earned income on high salried people.. what they will do is simply shut down their businesses and live off their savings and the job of this LIV "soundoff" idiot will be gone as well. Either that, or the wealthy will simply choose to live, or move their businesses overseas.
---
Why are the 47% so vindictive about taxing the wealthy excruciating amounts.. it's not like the 47% pay any income tax.. What the 47% could do is stop taxing themselves with sales taxes, SPLOSTS, and lotteries.
---
You know, the HOPE Scholarships in Georgia have about become null & void. The University System has raised tuition so much since the HOPE inception that any true help for students/families has been eradicated by the increases which have supported professors' pay raises out of line with every inflation indicator.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Dissent is not sacred; the right of dissent is.” — Thurman Arnold, American lawyer (1891-1969)." -- Well, this right is in danger as we speak. Judas 00-Barnum is seeking regualtion over rightful assembly. He wants to limit any group that meets, whether politically or neighborly, to 49 people and no often than 3 times in a 10 day period. His aim is at conservative rallies and militia readiness as protected by our Constitution, but it also affects liberal protests such as the "Occupy Wall Street" or the locl "School of America's" watch. Of course, the "School of America's" watch may be under the number so it may not be an ongoing issue. You know, this attempt to restrict gathering to gether in limited numbers could make going to the polls in droves a crime.

Online story: " WASHINGTON — The prohibition on transgender individuals serving in the U.S. military “continually should be reviewed,” Defense Secretary Chuck Ha-gel said on Sunday.
Hagel did not indicate whether he believes the policy should be overturned. However, he said “every qualified American who wants to serve our country should have an opportunity if they fit the qualifications and can do it.” -- Yeah, and the first time some soldier jumps into a foxhole and stabs another soldier with his heels, death by "friendly fire" will become an acceptable defense for a Court Martial.
---
Bo Jangles better rewite its advertising script.. their ad reads, "5 for $5.00 - Five meals for $5.00". We "know" what they were trying to say, but they said we could get "five meals for $5.00". Hmm, I can feed my family for $5.00.. maybe I'll try that today!
---
Online story: "A justice of the peace in Messina, Italy has fined three girls an amount of approximately $3,500 each for wearing what is considered common beach wear (bathing suits/bikinis) in Italy, based upon the supposed offense to the sensitivities it created for some Saudi Arabian tourists who were also at the private resort of Taormina." Good grief... why would anyone want to lay down on the beach in a burqa.. make that,, why would anyone wearing a burqa want to lie down at a beach to begin with? Hmm, wonder if Judas 00-Barnum's discriminatory indoor tanning tax would apply to women lying in tanning booths with their burqas on?
---
Online story: "Republican Sen. Tim Scott doesn’t vote according to the color of his skin, Assistant Democratic Leader Rep. James Clyburn complained in a Thursday Washington Post article. * “If you call progress electing a person with the pigmentation that he has, who votes against the interest and aspirations of 95 percent of the black people in South Carolina, then I guess that’s progress,” he told the Post." -- The comments of an octogenarian demented white male make headlines on ll networks for two weeks, but the racist and bigoted comments of black Democrat Representatives to Congress (add Charlie Rangel's rants to Clyburns, too) can only be found with a Google search.

You know.. if the education system (including parents as well) did its job better, then most people would understand that a minimum wage is a detriment as well as unnecessary . Unfortunately, too many students finish high school without the ability to understand this, and are easily victimized by politicians extorting their naivety.
---
Hmmm, has anyone seen any mainstream media updates on the 600 American soldiers sent to join the UN effort regarding the Ukraine/Russia situation?
---
You know.. I remember when I looked at the used car ads in the L-E in case some special model appeared on the market. Now I don't bother as most of these ads are placed by dealers rather than owners. Maybe the L-E should consider separate columns for used car ads by owners and dealers.

Online story: "State and local governments face a deficit of more than $23 billion in paying for the lifetime health benefits promised to public workers when they retire, an analysis by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution shows. * To cover the gap, which is likely to grow, politicians and government officials have few alternatives other than to substantially reduce the benefits they promised or require employees, retirees and taxpayers to pay more for them" -- You know,, why are political entities allowed to put their own retirement policies in place that aren't first scrutinized as to whether they are sustainable within the people who will benefit from them? This practice should be stopped.
