Online story: "On Thursday, Portland city officials announced it will not be making any more investments in the world's largest retailer and that the first of the city's Walmart holdings had expired. *
Oregon's KOIN reports that the investment pullback came after Portland leaders determined the mega-retailer is "not a socially responsible company." * The city announced Thursday that it would be free of all remaining holdings by 2016. * The move was preceded by Portland's adoption of socially responsible investment protocol in October 2013. Portland Commissioner Steve Novick has advocated ending involvement with Walmart based on the retailer's "controversial business and labor practices," -- Hmmm, hypocrites! If you're going to "make a statement", you just get rid of all it, and if you're seriously "making a statement", you purge all the profits you harvested donating to socially acceptable charities. I would have liked it if some reporter had asked the city official did he have regrets from not investing the pension plan in "Solyndra" instead of Walmart.
---
When you think about, Portland, Oregon is a more hypocrtical that it seems. Why didn't someone ask the official how much it has invested in its home state NIKE, which is certainly no "socially responsible company"...
---
You know, if employee pension plans had embraced Walmart stock all along, most pensiuon plans would be solvent.

HuffPost headline: "Study: Spending On Negative Obamacare Ads Outpaced Positive Ones Significantly" -- Well, what did the HuffPost expect... it would be easier to name something important Hillary did as Secretary of State than name something positive about OObamaCRAP.
---
From the "now we understand the HuffPost headline above" department - Online story: "CHICAGO (AP) — A new analysis finds the nation's health care overhaul deserves a place in advertising history as the focus of extraordinarily high spending on negative political TV ads that have gone largely unanswered by the law's supporters. * The report, released Friday by nonpartisan analysts Kantar Media CMAG, estimates that $445 million was spent on political TV ads mentioning the law since the enactment of the Affordable Care Act in 2010. Spending on negative ads outpaced positive ones by more than 15 to 1." -- HUH? like dirty politics, does this not reek of Chicago! This "report" claims on about $30 Million was spent on "positive" ads. To begin with, what a waste of $30 Million because advertisng something positive was a typical Judas 00-Barnum "spin/lie".Secondly, Hundreds of millions of dollars were on celebrity advertising, navigators, and what will finally top a BILLION dollars was spent on software that will be abandoned. Is there anything that Judas 00-Barnum is not ashamed to lie about.

Online story: "MIAMI (AP) — A federal judge in Washington ordered the U.S. military on Friday to at least temporarily stop force-feeding a hunger striking prisoner at the Guantanamo Bay naval base." -- Well, well, well.. an activist liberal judge has finally thrown Br'er Rabbit (military) into "that der briar patch". The military can spend the money saved on feeding these terrorist scum and spend it on wounded veterans, PLUS... PLUS more terrorist will starve them self to death.. WIN-WIN!!

HuffPost headline: "California Drought Is Far From Over, And The Entire State Is Suffering" -- Yep, but those Delta Smelt fishies are thriving. Why doesn't some conservative activist judge suspend California's Electoral College votes... retro actively?
---
L-E headline: "(Senator) Schumer (D_NY) pushes bill to cut student loan debt" -- Hmmm... that sorta sounds somewhat fair... after all, Schumer and his Democrat buddies have pushed them into this debt to begin with.
---
Just wondering.. has any one found out why Judas 00-Barnum ordered the US flags flown at half-mast for some former governor but not for our veterans who died from VA Hospital facilities' disrespecting our veterans?
---
L-E headline: "DIVIDING LINE * Macon Road is often considered a boundary separating black and white, rich and poor, and is a target for leaders seeking change" -- Hey.. why doesn't Council just erase Macon Road, and use the School Districts plans to create 3 north-south areas? Council could use Veterans, I-185, and Schatulga Road/Flat Rock Road as the separators and everything will be hunky-dory!

There's a high school basketball player of great ability on the court and is credited with a 4.1 GPA. I have to wonder.. not about this fine athlete, but the grading/teaching efficiency at her high school. That high school had no one qualified by an S.A.T. score to be in the "S.T.A.R" program.. and the minimum level is no where close to a 4.1 GPA level.

LIV's L-E "soundoff": " It’s really scary when you think about the proposition that Republicans could gain complete control of Congress." -- This (_*_) feels this is scary? What's scary is the people to busy working to pay those that are depressed by the Democratic Party entitlement programs are bused to the ballot box.
