Online story: "President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had lunch at the White House on Thursday, but their meal may have remained a secret if it hadn't been for People Magazine tweeting about it." -- Hmmm, first.. nothing could be that "secret" if a People's Mag has access, but what was discussed.. obvious first thoughts tend to be about Benghazi... guess Judas 00-Barnum and Hillary were comparing "nots" to make sure they are "BeingHazy".
---
HuffPost: "U.S. Economy Shrinks For The First Time In 3 Years" -- "first time in 3 years"? Good grief.. mainstream media tries to make every catastrophe of Judas 00-Barnum's presidency seem like it's a normal cycle that we should be use to by now. Do you ever reckon mainstream media will look back one day and see what fools it has made of itself?
---
HuffPost headline/story: "Heirs To Inherit $36 Trillion For Doing Nothing * A study from the Boston College Center on Wealth and Philanthropy projects that $59 trillion is expected to be passed down to heirs, charities and taxes between 2007 and 2061. * The study said heirs will receive $36 trillion over that period, while federal estate taxes will receive $5.6 trillion" -- "federal estate taxes will receive $5.6 TRILLION dollars... now that's the true entity that inherits for actually doing nothing!
---
Online headline: "BADLY MISMANAGED' Oregon to sue over failed ObamaCare exchange site" -- Hmmm, can we sue Oregon for sending Representatives to Washington who voted "FOR" OObamaCRAP to begin with?
---
Online story: "The steady drip of Detroit's financial woes is turning into a gusher as the city braces to lose one of its most reliable sources of revenue: contracts with surrounding communities for the city's water supply. * For years, Detroit’s water system played the middle man in getting water from Lake Huron to neighboring communities. But the city’s aging water system is of enough concern that the city of Flint has joined with Genesee County and others to build a $300 million pipeline parallel to an existing one to get water directly from the lake, cutting out the Motor City." -- Is this no surprise? Sad thing is that Detroit's water infrastructure is probably in better shape than Atlanta's..
---
Online headline: "Washington mom outraged over 'pay to potty' policy in classroom" -- And "mom" should be.. after all, it was the school that has filled her daughter up with crap.
---
Online story: "- He may have had a twisted spine, but England's King Richard III was no hunchback, according to a new analysis of the medieval king's skeleton. * After the bones of the 15th-century king were discovered under a parking lot in central England in 2012, scientists scanned the remains of Richard III's back and created replicas of each bone to reconstruct his spine. The researchers said while Richard III had a severe case of scoliosis, he was far from the limping "hunchbacked toad" with a withered arm depicted in William Shakespeare's play." -- OK.. then mainstream media needs to be maligned for creating a solid spine for Judas 00-Barnum whom we know has none.
---
L-E story: "Britain's Office of National Statistics said prostitution and the import, manufacture and consumption of illegal drugs will be counted when making the government's quarterly calculations of gross domestic product. * The statistics agency said Friday some of these activities are legal in certain European Union countries, and comparable figures are needed. All member states need the same standard because they are used to assess a member state's contribution to the EU budget" -- Good grief.. Great Britain can put a value figure on its unknown, unreported revenue streams, but our Mayor Obamalinson doesn't have a clue to the value of our property tax data base..
---
Online quote source: "“Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.” - Henri Frederic Amiel" -- Hmmm... thankfulness and gratitude.... neither of which is ever demonstrated by the recipients of our entitlement class ... in fact, the entitlement class emulates the effect of what we see when bears, natural examples of independence and pride, become dependent and demeaned by people feeding them.. and when the next person along doesn't feed them, violence occurs.
---
Hmmm..even Senator Al Franken has joined the growing crowd of Democrats calling for Shinseki's firing as head of 0-VAmaCare. Sounds good to me as well, but then, again, I'd be happier if Democrats would ask for Franken plus Reid to resign.
---
Good grief...Speaker Boehner was defending Shinseki on the basis that firing him wouldn't fix the O-VAmaCare problem. Technically, Boehner is right, but more realistically is that the problem will not get fixed if he stays in his job.
---
L-E story: "In a groundbreaking disclosure, Google revealed Wednesday how very white and male its workforce is — just 2 percent of its Google employees are black, 3 percent are Hispanic, and 30 percent are women. About a third of the company's workforce is Asian * the search giant said the transparency about its workforce is an important step toward change. * "Simply put, Google is not where we want to be when it comes to diversity," Google Inc. senior vice president Laszlo Bock wrote in a blog." -- Quick! Sell your stock! Google just announced it was going to concentrate on "style over substance"!
---
Online headline: "Can the President save his reputation?" -- Save what? Frankly, not only has Judas 00-Barnum lived up to his reputation, but far exceeded his capabilities.. Unfortunately, none of his abilities are what we need.
---
Online headline/story: "A Wantagh,New York high school is the latest around the nation to ban backpacks out of fear of bomb threats, and has even taken extra steps including sealing up students' lockers." -- Good grief...what's next..screenings before going to the bathrooms.. OOOOPS, that's already in effect.
---
Donald Trump offered Judas 00-Barnum $5 Million a while back to give him the records of his birth and college records.. 00-Barnum... he don't say nothing.. Recently Trump raised his offer to $50 Million to be spread out to 00-Barnum's choice of charities... 00-Barnum .. he don't say nothing.. Hey, Trump.. offer it all directly to Columbia University to fund several "tenured chairs" in the arts and sociology departments in exchange for those records, and Columbia might just not be able to stand turning its back on $50 Million.
---
You know.. the Department of Education might want to look into Columbia's files to see Judas 00-Barnum's applications as well. Were loans, grants, and scholarships fraudulently applied for?

$250K for a RiverWalk toilet. Wouldn't it be cheaper...and safer...to put a port-a-let or two there and have an armed guard on duty from dark to say, 8:00/9:00 PM , and have security cameras run til midnight then shut the RivrrWalk down until the next morning?
---
More detail has come to light about why Mayor Obamalinson's "Royal Flush Throne room" again didn't make it to a vote. Seems three Councilors weren't there for the vote. Guess they were smart enough to go to 'another facility' to conduct other business.
---
You know.. there are more questions that need to be asked AND answered about the DOT grant for the $244K RiverWalk toilet... My understanding of "grants" is that some City official has to submit an application, including specifications for such. Who drew up the grant application and specification?
---
Another question: Why wasn't a grant application simply filed with The Home Depot and Lowe's Foundations for a RiverWalk bathroom facility? There'd be no tax dollars involved, and no government earmarks involved. Sounds good doesn't it.. Hmmm, can you imagine the laughter at Home Depot and Lowe's if either received a grant application wanting $244K to build a single outdoor bathroom facility?
---
You know, Mayor Obamalinson's "Royal Flush Throne room" may never make it to a vote. 5 Councilors have suddenly remembered that they will be up for re-election in 2016, and a "yes" vote will be campaign fodder against them.
---
Forget the $199K "grant" from the state DOT for a RiverWalk toilet facility, we're still gonna spend $45K of local tax dollars that could be spent a lot better.

Online story: "Two entities have filed a legal objection to the joint proposal of the City of Atlanta and Friendship Baptist Church to buy nearly 36 acres of Morris Brown property. * The African Methodist Episcopal Church, the major creditor of Morris Brown College’s debt, is objecting to the $14.6 million sale because it says it holds debt of $18.6 million. * The AME church also is objecting to the fact that the proposed sale does not specify how or when the “net proceeds will be distributed. * The second objection was filed by Clark Atlanta University, which has had a long-standing agreement with Morris Brown College on its “reversionary property rights.” * The property used to belong to Clark Atlanta. Its agreement with Morris Brown was that if the property were to no longer be used for the college, it would revert back to Clark Atlanta." -- C'mom guys.. can't we just all get along? And just think of the debt as a donation to UNCF...
---
L-E story: "The Historic Columbus Foundation has joined the fight to prevent the widening of U.S. 431 through historic downtown Eufaula, Ala. * A coalition working as Save North Eufaula Avenue has been fighting the Alabama Department of Transportation as it develops a proposal to change a roughly one-mile stretch just south of downtown into four lanes." -- South of downtown? .. I think he meant "north, but that's not the issue. I'm betting on my 106 year old Eufaula cousin, Fonnie Strang, still being too tough for the AL DOT to handle.
---
L-E "soundoff" that slipped by Dusty: " Life is not fair. Guys get sixpack abs and iron pecs, and us females get the Michelin man" -- Hmmm.. a subtle dig at dating trends for alternative lifestylers?
---
LIV's L-E soundoff": "Being “intelligent enough to make the right decision” is voting your conscience, which is guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States. If you don’t like that, leave." -- Hmmm, but you have to intelligent enough to know there are different.. very different ..levels of intelligence.
---
Another LIV's L-E "soundoff": "The three leading causes of death are legal: tobacco, obesity and alcohol. Drug abuse is number 10, yet we’ve squandered a trillion dollars in the failed drug war" -- Hmm.. bet this guy hasn't considered where death by "drug abuse" would be without the "drug war".
---
And another LIV's L-E "soundoff": "This November when you go vote, remember that the Republicans are for corporations and the Democrats are for the middle class." -- The Democrats must have "duper-sized" the formula of their Kool-Aid.
---
L-E story: " Between May 2013 and May 2014, 113 students who were enrolled in free GED prep courses at Chattahoochee Valley Community College passed the GED examination" -- Well.. this about sums up the problems in education... now you have to go to college to get a high education.
---
L-E story: " Missouri’s attorney general says the state should establish its own laboratory to produce chemicals for use in executions rather than rely on an “uneasy cooperation” with medical professionals and pharmaceutical companies" -- Good grief.. why doesn't Missouri just show us why it refers to itself as the "Show Me State".. Show us some gumption, and just go back to bullets.. every box is marked by manufacturer so that would eliminate nuisance suits by attorneys wanting to know who made the drugs.
---
L-E headline/story: "SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, MATH * Columbus High ranked No. 2 in state for STEM education * The rankings for Muscogee County’s additional public high schools are: North-side 98, Hardaway 144, Shaw 310, Carver 314, Spencer 361, Jordan 372 and Kendrick 377. The county’s other public high school, Early College Academy of Columbus, isn’t listed in the rankings of 385 Georgia high schools * Muscogee County School District superintendent David Lewis said in an email, “I am obviously very pleased to learn that Columbus High was ranked second in the state for an award that focuses on STEM disciplines" -- Good grief.. there are 385 high schools, and the MCSD, a metro-area education vs rural system, has 5 of its 8 high schools ranked in the bottom quadrant of all the state's high schools. River City.. we have a problem.. and it's much bigger either the MCSD board or the L-E wants to delve into.
---
I usually don't mention much about Phenix City goings-on, but I must.. well, feel compelled, to infer that if the City Manager and Central football coach had been white, and three black council members voted to fire them, I doubt if the race card would have been the first reaction of the local media.
---
L-E headline: "FDA: New warning stickers coming to tanning beds" -- Oooops, my bad... thought the Truth in Advertising Law was going to require tanning beds carry a warning label that there is a discrimination tax of 10% on using them levied by Judas 00-Barnum
