Online story: "SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) -- A 16-year-old who believed he was being ripped off shot and killed a northeastern Pennsylvania cab driver who refused to take his shortcuts, police said * A(_*_)zis R******** was charged with murder Friday night, hours after police said he shot 47-year-old Vincent Darbenzio twice in the head." -- 16 years old.. armed and calling for a cab... It's an obvious hate crime caused by the cultural erosion of an entitlement community on drugs. Judas 00-Barnum has failed the inner cities.. There is no "Hope or Change" he campaigned on.
---
HuffPost headline: 'Stung By Criticism, Obama Preps Sweeping Defense Of His Foreign Policy" -- "Stung by criticism"? How about stung by ineptitude....
---
HuffPost headline: "UCSB Shooting Victim's Father Blames 'Craven' Politicians, NRA For Son's Death" -- Good grief.. I wasn't even going to broach this subject before seeing this headline.. the son has left messages that he was a frustrated young man because women were attracted TO him. Shame on this "father" for making such a political statement at a time like this. Besides, this probably encapsulates why the son was so screwed up...
---
HuffPost headline: "VA Mental Health Care Delays, Staff Shortages, Plague Veterans" -- Hmmm.. probably because of the cut backs in the military budget of Judas 00-Barnum.
---
L-E story: "Two top recruits for Senate races — Michelle Nunn in Georgia and Alison Lundergan Grimes in Kentucky — won't say how they would have voted when the Senate passed the bill in 2010. Their refusals are overshadowing their endorsements of individual parts of the law that are more popular than the law itself." -- Good grief.. don't we have too many Democrats in the Senate to begin with. wasn't that why OObamaCRAP & O-VAmaCRAP came into being?
---
I'm curious.. has anyone seen an atheist organized drive to feed or care for the homeless? Even if there ever was one,, who did the homeless thank.... dog?
---
Online quote source: "“Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.” - John F. Kennedy" -- Hmmm.. and how did Judas 00-Barnum interpret this to come up with his "Apology Tour" idea?
---
WTVM9 headline: "Redskins to senators: Team's name is 'respectful' -- You know... Washington has already changed the name of one sports team in an effort for better fan support.. The baseball team dropped the name "Senators" to become the Nationals. Seems like it was a good decision.
---
The new X-Men movie is very good ! Timely, too.. touches on a president with drone capability.
---
Why would Chuck Hagel stand up and tell us the public has a obligation to tend to our veterans? The public knows this. What the public and veterans alike don't know is why government is so inefficient, so lacking in prioritizing care for our vets. The problem is, simply, that government spends too much on entitlement programs for people who are healthy or illegally here.
---
You know, all these scandals plus the Mexican incarceration of one if our Marines show us two things about Judas00-Barnum.. first he's very busy juggling problems.. second, he's not very effective at solving them.
---
Personally, I think all the "scientists" who believe/claim that if Global Warming/Climate Change melted Antarctica and the Arctic that the water would rise 8-12 feet should be stripped of their diplomas and ability to apply for government grants. Truth is, that if all that ice did melt, the water level would decrease. Ice/icebergs actually displace water like anything else that floats. Fill a tub with ice then fill it with water to the brim. Ice will actually extend above the brim, but as the ice melts, the water level will drop. The ice, whether above or below the waterline contains an abundance of air trapped in it that gives the frozen water natural buoyancy to float.
---
L-E story: " In terms of the mayoral race, (Rev. Johnny) Flakes (IV), who supported Tomlinson during the election, said he thinks the mayor won because she has proven her ability to address the needs of residents across the city." -- Good grief.. neither Johnny Flakes, III or IV has ever been concerned about any citizen's needs outside their own area.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Which foreigners are most like Americans? Canadians? Australians? British? Japanese? Yet Americans are five, 10, 41 and 175 times more likely to be killed by guns. It’s the laws, not the culture." -- Hmmm, and if you eliminate the major cities in the US which have the strictest guns laws.. i.e. New York, Chicago, Washington, DC, LA , the nation's average dun deaths drop dramatically. Libs have "feelings" (You know "Factless Emotional Eruptions Lacking INteGrity) about things that just don't pan out when facts are added.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Education of the common man is a dangerous thing for the rich and powerful. Muscogee County just fired 31 teachers." -- Hmmm... wasn't it last year when about this many teachers were singled out as potential layoffs from the teacher pool of less than adequate teachers? Weremn't they kept on when more money became available? The question that should be addressed is that why were teachers identified as inadequate kept on last year? That would have saved almost $2,000,000.00 this current years as well as in ongoing years.
---
L-E story: "A Columbus teen was taken to Midtown Medical Center Friday afternoon after he was struck in the face with a brick on West Park Drive, police said. * The 15-year-old boy was in good condition after the 7 p.m. armed robbery and assault. He was treated for swelling to the face, police said. * Two boys were charged with one count each of aggravated assault and armed robbery in connection with the theft of a Bluetooth speaker valued at $10" -- Another crime caused by cultural erosion. When kids have no role models of hard work because of government give-away programs, they see no "Hope or Change", and look to their peers as "roll models".
---
From above story - How much did the taxpayers put out in answering the call, and treating the victim over a $10.00 cellphone speaker?
---
Hmmm, was glad to see the L-E finally post precinct recaps of Tuesday's election results. Guess some of them are closet Breakfast Club readers. Found it interesting, no, revealing, that North Columbus is a lot better at voting for candidates that are black than South Columbus is for voting for candidates who are white.
---
Another interesting find in reviewing poll numbers is that early voters are nearly 60% Democrat.
---
L-E's "Columbus Council Agenda" feature: "Georgia Department Of Transportation, High Priority Project Funding For Construction Restrooms On The RiverWalk: Authorization is requested to enter into an agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation to accept a High Priority Project grant for $195,088.80 with a 20 percent local match of $48,772.80 for total grant amount of $243,861.60 for construction of restrooms on the RiverWalk under the Martin Memorial Bridge. Item delayed from March 11 agenda. There is a need for additional restrooms to serve the general public utilizing the RiverWalk and the Martin Pedestrian Bridge." -- Good grief.. just a week after the election, and the first thing the City Manager wants to talk about is a $243, 861.60 crap processor. Haven't we already had our fill of crap this week?
---
Claflin School, Extension of Ownership: Authorization is requested to retain ownership of the Claflin School property, located on Fifth Avenue, for an additional six-month period to allow the public to pursue development of a viable redevelopment opportunity that is consistent with the deed restrictions on property. All proposals would be required to be submitted to the city manager’s office no later than Nov. 26." -- Good grief... that building has been rotting for years. How about making it a condition of extension only if Rev Jessie has the building weathered in before the Council addresses this request.
---
Another questional agenda item for the City Manager: " Accg Civic Affairs Foundation Gcip Grant, Planning Department: Authorization is requested to submit an application and, if approved, accept $2,173 or as otherwise awarded from the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia Civic Affairs Foundation for the Planning Department to hire an intern to update forms used in the Records Management System for a 10 week period, fall 2014. There is no local match required" -- Hmmm, a "grant" for a 10-week intern for $2,173.00.. That's not even the old minimum wage, much less Judas 00-Barnum's newly decreedgovernment work related decree. On top of that. an intern generally works under someone, so that means we'll be paying another person beside the intern, and by the time that person trains the intern, the regular employee could probably have finished the project and taxpayers would save the $2,173.00.
---
From above L-E feature: "Opening bid dates: "May 28: South Commons Park Memorial Wall — Work under this contract will include installation of three free standing brick walls to include precast concrete caps; installation of plastic script lettering; and installation of four aluminum plaques with bronze finish." Memorial Wall for what? There's already a Viet Nam Memorial Wall at Lawyers Lane & Buena Vista Rods.. what is this one for?
---
Another "round-a-bout" is opening for bids.. The only thing to really be accomplished is that Mayor Obamalinson goes "around-a-lot" to waste tax dollars on things that don't need fixing.
---
And another Council Agenda item: " Application of Elizabeth Hurst to temporarily close the 1000 block of Broadway from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., in connection with the “Uptown Group Bike Ride” on the following Tuesdays: May 27, June 3, June 10, June 17, June 24, July 1, July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29, Aug. 5, Aug. 12, Aug. 19 and Aug. 26, 2014." -- You know.. if bicycles are under the same regulations as cars and trucks, why aren't cars and trucks given equal time to ride around Broadway without having bicycles hamper their way?
---
L-E's " Thought for Today": “There is nothing final about a mistake, except its being taken as final.” — Phyllis Bottome, English author (1884-1963). " -- Hmmm, maybe there will be justice in the future to get rid of OObamaCRAP and )-VAmaCare.
