L-E headline: "Columbus crime: 16 men, 2 women arrested in weekend sting operation" -- The CPD could raise more revenue and keep the streets of Columbus safer simply by writing tickets to bicyclists illegally riding on the sidewalks of Broadway.

How can San Francisco rally behind Muslim religious rites yet attempt to illegalize Jewish religious rites? Is the banning of circumcision not the ultimate oxymoron of religious tolerance? Oh...we're talking about San Francisco, so this may just be the ultimate perversion...maybe the powers that be just want an excuse to be able to perform 'short arm inspections' of every male child.

I'm beginning to 'like' listening to the C-Span Sunday AM program. An 'analyst', Shibley Telhami, Anwar Sadat professor of Peace and Development at the University of Maryland proclaimed that the Israeli territorial divide is an argument between Biblical teachings and UN resolutions. Can you believe these people?
---
Professor Telhami also declared that 'most Americans do not want our government to take sides in this conflict. Wouldn't you like to see the poll data on this claim!

Gates' resignation Just before the timelines imposed by Emperor O'Bozo for troop removals is an open, maybe blatant, protest of Emperor O'Bozo's knowledge of military actions.

Why is it that DUMB&DUMBERats are so quick to cite Dr. Martin Luther King's words, but so rarely try to follow or live up to them? Wasn't Dr. King's dream that all people be judge by the content of their character, and not their color? Try telling that to the DUMB&DUMBERat pundits when it comes to reconfiguring Congressional districts.

From the L-E editorial: "A new law passed in the recent session of the General Assembly provides a mechanism not only for local governments, by popular consent, to opt out of the projects, but also for the tax money collected to be used for the benefit of the taxpayers who provided it. * Under the new law, if voters approve a referendum to cancel a SPLOST project the local government would still collect the sales tax, but the money would be used either to pay down debt or to roll back property taxes. * The law does not apply to education SPLOSTs: Lawmakers were concerned about unintended consequences, including political pressure for canceling projects just to lower property taxes that provide most school funding." -- Ironic... the last MCSD SPLOST with the ambitious, no, the out right lack of reasoning, goal of collecting nearly $45,000,000.00 per year for 5 years when no other 1% revenue stream has brought in more than $36,000,000.00+/- per annum could do the same as the Barrow County SPLOST fiasco, but "we" cannot control the MCSD board's decisions to proceed with projects that have no way to be funded. Why would the GA Legislature give such raw power to any School Board?

Today is "D-Day". Hmmm, wouldn't be nice if we remembered June 6, 2011 as "de day of Chitwood's last bungling"?
---
Why wasn't there a "correction" (or at least an apology) from the L-E for mixing marriage and anniversary announcements in with the obituaries in the Sunday edition?

Hey, Milton McGregor, you, too, can be a whiner!
