I'm going to remind him that the $168.00 annual fee imposed on us to keep the second pick up day should even be part of this discussion since eliminating the second day pick ups is projected to only save $331,000.00. The fee brings in over $9,000,000.00 for the second day pick up garbage expenses.

If it's only a matter about $331,000.00 being saved by cutting garbage pick up to once a week, why hasn't Mayor Obamalinson (or any Councilor for that matter) proposed raing the garbage fee by $331,000.00? My math says that if 55,000 households split that, each household would only have to pay less than $6.25 ANNUALLY (about $0.50 a month extra) to cover this.
