Online headline: "Obama to Announce Major Decision" -- Of course, there are more questions that instantly pop to mind - Like why didn't he just make the announcement versus announcing he's gonna make one, and is what he's announcing actually going to be good for this country.
---
Online headline: "Progressive Democrat Expected To Announce Retirement Next Week" -- Well, we do have to admit that Rep Lynn Woolsey, D&D CA, is doing something we think is progress for America for a change.
---
L-E headline: "Airport police chief accused of breaking into car at Carmike 15" -- Hmmm bet this explain some things that happen in the long term parking area at the airport.
---
From L-E story: "The county is also losing many young professionals and middle-income families to outlying areas where new homebuyers aren’t expected to carry a disproportionate tax burden, Tomlinson said. * “Those are your folks who are in their prime spending years, and you want them to be part of your community,” Tomlinson said. “If you’re pushing them into the surrounding counties, you’ve got yourself a problem.”-- Whatta a mixed message of garbage...maybe we should limit Mayor Mother Teresa Obamalinson to having her garbage picked up by the L-E to once a week. It's not the 'freeze' that encourages people to move to outlying counties/states, it's the existing high taxes on what people are buying that causes the migration. Besides, the LOSTs and SPLOSTS are suppose to let 'these people' contribute to the community.
---
My own opinion about removing the 'freeze': Council should call a moratorium on overall tax revenues until they reassess all properties properly then base a millage rate that would generate the same revenue level from the new assessments. That would reduce the tax costs for newer/recently bought homes, and increase taxes on homes bought long ago to a higher but not excessive level. It would eliminate the major 'windfall' gain Mayor Obamalinson salivates over.

L-E story: "An 11- and 13-year-old face charges of robbery and battery in a Saturday night beating that left a preteen injured, Columbus police said. * According to reports, the suspects were inside Carmike Cinemas on Manchester Expressway around 11:30 p.m. when they approached a 12-year-old and hit him in his face." -- Children, it's 11:30 PM, do you know where your parents are?
---
You know, the big basic difference between an appointed versus elected School Board is that one was the "Community Watchdog", and the other is looking at getting re-elected.
---
Van Jones.... appointed by Emperor O'Bozo, but resigned under the light of truth, now says the Emperor is part of the Right. Huh? If Emperor O'Bozo is considered to the Right of Van Jones, then Van Jones has established a new extreme for being Leftist.
---
Speaking of Van Jones, he's 'considering' filing a law suit against Fox News; for what..telling the truth?
---
From the "just my feelings" department - It's really a shame that the MCSD (and most others, I'm pretty sure) award salary increases for advanced degrees of the teachers rather than on whether the students are advancing at an accelerated pace. Seems there's no justification that advanced degrees for teachers translates into better education for the students.
